THEORY #1 - Spurs were unwilling to buy out Scola's contract and the Rockets are gonna pay, knowing the kind of organization the Spurs are --- this is what you would call a "good will" trade.
Remember that the guy they drafted in the first round this year, Tiago Splitter, also belongs to the same team as Scola is.
The trade is probably a gift to the Euro team to let their new draft pick play for the Spurs.
Rocket's buyout Scola's contract, the Spanish team get the money they want, and Spurs get to use their new draft pick. Everyone's happy.
or
THEORY #2 - This was part of us taking Lindsey away from Houston. Ive heard of players exchanged for front office people indirectly in minor league baseball but not in the majors.
or
THEORY #3 - CAT HOLT lost a recent lawsuit and brother needs some pesos for a new BACK-HOE loader.
or
THEORY #4 - The real shooter was in the grassy knoll?
Calling Sledge and getting to the bottom of this.
