this was our first series to start the season and our first series to start the 2nd half.

will the Rangers keep up their amazing streak of 7 series in a row or will they do what they often do to and fold just when they start to show promise?

While this great play is encouraging, they still have ZERO chance at the division or wild card. Trade Tex, trade Sosa, keep stockpiling prospects. And if the current team can keep playing this well and make it to .500 by the end of the season, I'd say that this was a salvaged year and at least we would have learned that Ron Washington might be a pretty good hire.

The cable guy is coming today to extend our cable from the crappy 18 channel lineup we have to 100+ channels, which means I will get to see almost every game now w/o using sopcast. :elephant

For the special occasion, the Rangers better win!

but Rangers take one out of three against the team that has seriously owned them, pissed on their backs and laughed at them the last few years. so all in all, not bad. it looked like it would be another sweep.

what a job done by jamie wright. byrd and sosa had a nice game. with teixeira's impressive play, hopefully this is making his trade value higher.

if we sweep Oakland (which we very well could, they're playing their worst baseball this year) then we are only a couple games behind them for 3rd place!

:lol 3rd place is usually not a place that anyone strives for, but we did have the worst record in baseball at one time in a tough division where everyone else was over .500
