Peaked at $77 last year.

Some of it is northern summer seasonal peak, but supply is maxed out and demand still rising, especially in China, so seasonal trends aside price is trending upwards over a decadal scale.

On one hand it sucks and on the other hand I don't mind a bit. I'm not crazy about paying $2.80+ for a gallon of gas. But on the flip side, 3 years ago I switched my 401k money 100% into a single energy fund that has done spectacularly well up to this point.
