Interesting article on Ron Paul..

The Antiwar, Anti-Abortion, Anti-Drug-Enforcement-Administration, Anti-Medicare Candidacy of Dr. Ron Paul (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/22/magazine/22Paul-t.html?pagewanted=1&ei=5124&en=dacd6d6f05cda897&ex=1342843200&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink)

Those numbers don't wash. If you are talking about the service men, you cannot boost the numbers with Veteran's Affairs. It's like the controversy surrounding unions, where some members are pissed because their dues finance agendas they don't agree with.

Actual numbers filtering Active Duty, Reserves, and NG:

Name Total
Biden $500.00
Brownback $71.00
Clinton $2,950.00
Cox $0.00
Dodd $0.00
Edwards $1,419.53
Gilmore $0.00
Gravel $0.00
Guliani $2,070.00
Huckabee $1,750.00
Hunter $1,000.00
Kucinich $0.00
McCain $15,500.00
Obama $11,475.83
Paul $14,040.52
Richardson $3,100.00
Romney $2,851.00
Tancredo $0.00
Thompson, Tommy $0.00

I wonder of they purposely missed some of McCain's entries. Have to be careful. Example of entries for the Navy:

U. S. Navy
U.S. Navy
US Navy
United States Navy

Paul's breakdown:
Army $6475
Air Force $1100 (where do they get more from? Couldn't figure how they get $4650.)
Marine $0
Navy $6265.52
NG/Reserve $200

McCain's breakdown:
Army $5525
Air Force $1345
Marines $1600
Navy $6130
NG/Reserves $900

Link for Paul and McCain:

John McCain (http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2007/Q2/C00430470/A_EMPLOYER_C00430470.html)

You know, it's pretty amazing McCain gets so much in contributions considering he will be out of the race soon. I think everyone's waiting for Fred Thompson...

McCain $15,500.00

According to the quarterlies, McCain's total receipts to date is only $25,328,694.10. Your saying 2/3 of that is military?

Am I suppose to respond to such stupidity?

$15,500 is only 0.612% of $25,328,694.10!

Misplace a few decimals?

Yeah....right....you do know that the military doesn't rank as a top 10 contributor for any candidate running in 08 right? In fact, McCain gets 65.8% of his cash from lawyers, old folks, real estate, securities firms and health care professionals....

So what was your point in posting this to begin with. Also
I didn't see much in the original posting to get excited
about. Just a normal conversation on a talk show.

I happen to not agree with you GGA. Hannity expressed a view.
Which as far as I know that is what he gets paid for. And well
paid I might add. Also, you don't have to agree with him, which
obviously you don't. So what? I don't agree with you, but I am
not sure that makes you out as anything but a person who
has a different opinion than me.
