It is depressing and my kids are going bonkers. Two of them are trying to jump rope in the house. :lol

It is nice weather here. Sunny, but not hot and a nice light breeze.

I love this rain. So much better than scorching 100 degree heat. I'll take this anyday.

It's nice as long as I don't have to be out running errands all day.

My electric bill up in the so-called "regulated" D/FW market just came in for the last month and was $95. Last year? $200+ for our 2100 sf home. You betcha I'm OK with the rain this year.

i'm not ecstatic about any of this shit....Wurzbach Pkwy is closed again so Jones Maltsberger and Nakoma are parking lots. The last time this happened ... like, last month? ... it took an hout and a half to go the 10 miles or so home. :flipoff

Thank God for my Treo ... I can post from the Jones parking lot. :fro

My electric bill last year about this time was about $400...this past month was $200.

Of course, last October we moved into a brand new, ultra energy-efficient home from a 53 year old house with window a/c units and no insulation. :spin

My utility bill this past month wasn't that much less than the month before when it hadn't rained as much and was hot.

I'm just glad it's not $400 anymore.. *shrugs*

I'm at a very morbid point in my life right now. And if it weren't for the Spurs winning the championship this year, I would call this the worst summer of my life seriously. But the Spurs did win. :lol

I love the rain, but thanks to it the mosquito population around my house is getting way beyond the point of ridiculous. There is a perpetual cloud of them right outside my front door, and I can't come or go without getting bitten.

Ironically, I saw all of a single mosquito all weekend in Houston :rolleyes

I was supposed to be on vacation so I went to San Antonio & New Braunfels and that fucking rain made me miss Schlitterbahn and Fiesta Texas. :flipoff Now I can't go until I get another few days off.

It's a 2552 sq/ft 2-story, and Chris likes to freeze us all out. I'm lucky it wasn't over $500. :wow :lol

It took me an hour and a half to get home ... and it was a tortuous hour & a half. This is day number 2 of no smoking, and because of all the rain I haven't been able to shampoo the carpet & upholstery in my truck to get the smell out. So I was stuck for an hour & a half with the windows closed in a truck that reeked of what I'm desperate to quit doing. So I was definitely a little irritable by the time I got home. :fro

I told everyone at work that I was wearing flannel, not shaving, and loading my MP3 player with grunge music today.

SW, I take WP, too, and got caught in the J-M parking lot last time. Here's a tip: if you know it's closed, take Heimer instead. Heimer north, Brook Hollow east for like a block, and then Henderson Pass north to Thousand Oaks. Of course Thousand Oaks was a fucking parking lot, too, but at least I only sat in one parking lot and not two. The pinchpoint on Thousand Oaks is that damn light at Wetmore. It lets maybe ten or twelve cars thru. Of course I was the last car that missed the light...and then a fucking train came through. :lmao It was a very long very slow train. It took me 55 minutes to get from 281/Bitters to 35/Thousand Oaks, then maybe 10 minutes to get to Schertz.

Yeah ... I work on Nakoma and got caught in it the last time too. I heard it was closed before I actually left work this time, so I was just going to go 281 to 1604. But the traffic was backed up on Nakoma, too ... all the way to the light at 281 for at least a mile or so. I was sitting either way. :lol
