Nationally televised. That is what my sources are telling me. I don't really like the idea of playing you guys right off the bat, but it should be fun.

shouldn't we play a decent team on opening night(Cleveland/Chicago/Detroit/Utah/Phoenix/Dallas/Houston), not some scrubs??

I think you should consider the game a sort of symbolic passing of the torch.

an asswhooping by the Spurs symbollizes passing of the torch to you?

FromWayDowntown

I think some of you seriously underrate the Blazers.

It would make sense to highlight Oden v. Duncan -- #1's drafted 10 years apart, one who has been a dominant big for all of his career and another who might prove to be the next dominant big. I could see this as being plausible.

I wonder, though, if tlong's "sources" bleat out their answers?

The Spurs will probably give a shit and play like shit, esp if on national TV, with Pop playing weird rotations and the starters playing 30 minutes or less.

Cool. I'm excited about that one if its true. Greg Oden and the Blazers are going to be a good young team. They're not going to be a team you blowout all the time.

Oden's debut will be overshadowed by a triple double from a young swingman that the Blazers will sign days before the season starts-James White!

As for Oden, he will end up suspended. Due to the fact that refs' shirts and Spurs jerseys are both black and white he'll get confused and knock Steve Javie senseless.

Precisely. Kobe can't cost you anything.

I wouldn't take Kobe on this team. No way, no how. Some of you are dazzled by bullshit, which is why your teams never win.

I can watch Kobe throw up mountains of points against bad teams no matter who he plays for. I like watching the globetrotters, too, but I don't ache to see them starting for the Spurs.
