I think Duncan will play for another 5 to 7 years before he ends his career with the spurs. With that being said how many rings do you think he will have? I think he will end his career with 7 or 8 rings.

6, maybe 7.

Right now Suns and Mavs are the only teams that present any problems. I'm not sure how long the suns Can ride with the team as it is, with Nash as its centerpeice.

I'm predicting his game will drop off dramatically following next year (back problems). and he'll take the team down with him.

The Mavs right now are the only team that can compete with us long term (3 - 4 years) if they keep their core. But it's been proven in the past to be a brittle one when it's needed most so who knows...

I say 6 is very possible, and depending on what role players rotate in (and if they repeat this year), maybe 7.

5. Hoping for 6, but I think we win one more next year.

Depending on next year's rebuilding effort (replacing Fin, Rob, backup for Bruce and Tony), he could go as many as 8, but that's unlikely.

What utter BULLSHIT. Take your crap elsewhere. :rolleyes

There was no controversy in 1999 - it was a shortened season and there were 30 teams playing for the same Championship. That is not controversial, it is irregular.

This year was admittedly controversial. However, notice that no commentator is saying that the Spurs weren't the best team in the league or didn't earn the trophy this year. Donaghy's calls did not favour the Spurs. And Amare/Diaw have only themselves to blame for breaking a stupid rule with a compulsory penalty. If they had more discipline, we would have no doubt about the series because we would have beaten you anyway, and you know it. Wanna look at calls, look at the PATHETIC reffing in the fourth Q of game 4. Absolutely pathetic calls.

So at 3 in the morning you are posting on a team's board, a team you are not even a fan of? You need to get a life.

It's the year after a title, so there's a big wave of optimism. 5 or 6 would be delightful, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think Duncan will repeat with Pop but i certainly hope the Spurs do.

Will he leave the Spurs in later years and get some bench role rings ala Bob Parish, John Salley? I know he says he will retire as soon as Coatails does but lets see what he does.
