Bullshit.
1. Mavs stayed pat.
2. Suns brought in Grant Hill which may be a plus--if he can stand their pace.
3. Utah stayed pat.
4. Nuggets only got Chucky Atkins to replace Steve Blake>big deal.
5. Rockets were active but god knows if Scola is the savior. Still a hole at PG and the Bonzi cancer to cut out.
6. Lakers did nothing. Kobe still looking for an out.
7. GS moved Richardson and might yet lose pietrus or Barnes.
8. Hornets picked up Richardson. Marginally better if he comes through like playoffs.
9. Who cares what the Clippers did?
10. The rest of the pack shuffled players in an out in rebuilding and hope that their lottery picks come through.

If some of the teams may be improved, it was through the draft, but in case no one noticed, we don't get lottery picks or high draft choices.

So far, there's been a lot of sound and fury, but the West hasn't changed all that much.

Exactly. Here's what Burns also has to say in his recent article:

"It's still early, but the Western Conference has been mostly quiet this summer as several teams wait for mid-tier free agents to make up their minds.

Among the top contenders, only the Rockets have been particularly active. Otherwise the biggest shakeups have occurred at the bottom of the standings, where Minnesota, Portland and Seattle have radically altered their lineups..."
