I'm 100% commission but I end up between 50k and 60k annual. I don't know why finance is so personal for some people. I'd be happy to post a paycheck stub or whatever if anyone is curious as to how good you can do in commission sales.
I guess I don't mind sharing my earnings so other people with no education can realize that sales is a solid reliable good paying job, with or without college.

I never understood why people think their income is so personal and taboo to talk about.
I make 48k a year, per hour of actual work...thats like...10k an hour.
:)
My wife makes 58k salary and suppliments another 20k to 30k in freelance work.
So together i guess we are doing ok...but it always feels like we are broke :(
To B2B: I used to sell cars for about 5 months, in between work...It can be GREAT money, but is very very time intensive...also can be very BAD money when it is bad.
My first month ever selling, i made 9k...i thought i was going to be rich!

It's a long and arduous job, but if I don't do it, your girlfriends or imaginary girlfriends, would have to wait another 6 seconds in line because the cashier would have to manually enter the bar code digits.
The pay not be the best, but I take pride in knowing only 4.8 percent of bar codes now mischarge BBW customers. In 1997, legend has it that figure rose as high as 7.2%.
I make a difference. Bottomline. Can you say the same about your job?

For those who don't get paid hourly or billed for services on an hourly basis, it's a hard question to answer.
I make less money per hour if I work 50hr weeks than if I work 40hr weeks. And then there's the "other" compensation I receive that isn't a base salary (i.e. free health care), that is tough to compute.
Without the extra bennies, I make about $35K a year, which is pretty crappy, but it pays the bills....and those bennies shouldn't really be ignored because they're substantial.
2.82? are you a slave?
I usually make good tips so I end up closer to $7.65. It's all good. You gotta love what you do and my works alright.

I have three sources of income, so here goes.
82,000 per year at my daytime job
25,000 last year doing consulting and systems design
14,000 per year for being medically retired from military
I'm looking for a new daytime job next year, and for what I do I should be more along the lines of making between 100k and 120k per year.

What kind of program did you do? I'm getting almost $4800 in an education voucher for AmeriCorps. Good thing, too, because that's about the only way it's financially worthwhile - living for a year on minimum wage has not been the most fun thing, but I know had I worked someplace getting $10/hr I wouldn't have paid off that much in school loans.

mine was quater time in Dallas for a faith based day camp thing called Project Transformation. Yeah. It was the only way I'm able to stay afloat as well. It's helped me get a leg up on coordinating after school and youth program positions, though. It'll hardly put a dent in my $48,000 worth of debt, but every little bit will help.

Sleep. :lol
A whopping $40.8K/year at my state job. I topped out last February, but stay at my job because it is so fricking awesome. However, after the end of the year there are no more excuses for this slacker...
Working for the state rocks. 14 paid holidays/year and I'm up to 10 hours vacation plus the standard 8 hours sick per month. In three years I'll shoot up to 13 hours/month vacation. I work my butt off when appropriate, and take long lunches at other times. :p:
I don't have a college education, save for about 6 units. Doesn't mean it's out of reach now, but making oodles of money has never appealed to me and going to school wasn't practical because I raised 2 kids alone for 14 years. However, now that I'm comfortable (my hubby makes twice what I do and my kids are grown) school is looking much more attractive, go figure.
