Local Bands (any city)

So we just got back from Denver, CO and got to see The Fray perform at Red Rocks. I must say it was an awesome experience I'll never forget. That place has to be the most awesome place ever to watch a concert at. ANYWAY, what I wanted to talk about was local bands.

The Fray, being from Colorado, had all local bands open up for them. The second band that came on just before The Fray, was a band called Born in the Flood. They were super awesome and practically upstaged The Fray! The lead singer was just so passionate and emotional during the show it just sucked you right in and made you apart of the show. Well, my signature says it all. NOTHING MORE!! (http://www.myspace.com/nothingmoremusic) They met with some producers over the weekend and made it as 1 of 50 bands from around the USA to Audition for the new show "Americas Next Great Band" (or something like that). The producers of that show also produce American Idol.

I also love an Austin band call Dawn Over Zero (http://www.myspace.com/dawnoverzero).

You all should check them out. And if anybody wants to see NM they'll be at Jacks Patio Bar tomorrow night for their first Acoustic show. :clap

I also love SouthFM (http://www.myspace.com/southfm) from Dallas but they broke up in October. Still love them though. :) You can listen to their albums on their page.. Be sure to check out Swallowing The Pill...that's the best one.
