Monday's Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/05/AR2007080501402.html) reported that the FBI had executed a search warrant on the home of former Justice Department lawyer Thomas Tamm in an effort to identify the person or persons who criminally leaked information about the administration's international terrorist surveillance plan to al Qaeda and other terrorist groups in 2005. Let's hope similar investigations are underway for the other leaks that have compromised national security in recent years.

It isn't clear from the Post's story whether Tamm himself is suspected as the source of the leak. If so, we will finally have a genuine scandal involving the Department of Justice.

I suspect not one, however, that Congressional Democrats will be interested in holding hearings on.

Oh, Gee!!

if there's one thing this administration excels at, it's leaking.

Anything the dubya/gonzo/rove DOJ does is political, not judicial.

This is political in the sense it's old, it's bullshit "national security", and aimed at causing a distraction from all the other shit hitting dubya's many fans.
