Bank Robbed in San Marcos
A man claiming to have a gun robbed the San Marcos branch of the Bank of
America, 308 E. Hopkins about 2 p.m. Friday, December10, 2004.
San Marcos police are seeking a white or Hispanic male, age 30 to 40,
wearing a long sleeve denim shirt, blue jeans and a blue bandana on his
head who escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to witnesses, the man approached a teller shortly after 2 p.m.
and handed her a note with instructions about giving him money and
claiming to have a gun, said Sgt. Penny Dunn.
He was last seen fleeing the area on foot. There was no vehicle seen
with the suspect.
Police are continuing the search and have collected photographs of the
suspect from the bank camera.
