Aside from the fact that your statement is factually incorrect, I think we can all rest easy that it certainly appears that we're some distance from a homogeneously homosexual society.

Gay marriage didn't cause global warming. It just killed the dinosaurs.

better to hear it from a stranger on the internet than someone you know. There is no such word as "irregardless". Leave the "ir" off the word. Not trying to pick on you, but some people will jump all over you for that.

I do it if people actually say it. I'm less of a grammar Nazi on the internet, though.

I was proven quite wrong on this exact point.

Unfortunately, "irregardless" is in fact, a word.

irregardless
One entry found for irregardless.

Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s
Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
nonstandard : REGARDLESS
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

Sorry. I'm in the "not a word" camp. Some dictionaries will incorporate "mutha" for "mother" just to be PC and make less literate people feel better. Most people will mock this guy if he uses it in public. I'm just trying to help him.

As am I, but looking up "mother" on Merriam Webster (LINK (http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mother)), I see no mention of "mutha".

Yet, irregardless is mentioned as a word, in fact. Pointed by the very comment made in its definition.

from Oxford American Dictionary:

mutha |?m?ð?| noun- variant spelling of mother (esp. sense 2 ).

Irregardless of the fact that this thread has spawned a lively debate about the suitability of an adverb the original point of this thread still sucks.

About irregardless, I have never seen anyone called out about its usage, on the internet or the real world. Of course it's a word, it's just not standardized... yet.
