Phoenix Suns, a second-round elimination team, have this stretch of 6 straight regular season games on national TV. Has that happened in league history before?

February 10 vs Washington on ESPN
February 13 vs GS on ESPN
February 14 vs Dallas on TNT

That's 3 national TV appearances in five days. But wait! There's more:

February 20 vs Lakers on ESPN
February 22 vs Celtics on ESPN
February 24 vs Pistons on ABC

Another 3 national TV games in five days. That's six games in 14 days.

When will the REAL teams get the respect they deserve?

The Cleveland Cavaliers, who just got SWEPT in the playoffs, have a stretch of five straight regular season games on national TV, that's five national TV games in 10 days:

April 3 vs. Chicago on TNT
April 5 vs. Orlando on ESPN
April 9 vs. New Jersey on ESPN
April 11 vs. Chicago on ESPN
April 13 vs Miami on ABC

When will ABC and ESPN learn that NO ONE cares about Eastern Conf. basketball?

Not one of those teams had a losing record last year, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Should only the NBA champions be televised?

If you think they should show Spurs-only practices and scrimage, well...I'm not sure that's going to be a big draw nationally.

You seriously think that's the reason?

It's the National Basketball Association.

The players and coaches and fans may get to soak up some fun and glory, but the League is still a business and is still going to stick with it's moneymakers.

It sucks that the general public doesn't flock to teamwork and fundamentals the way it does to run-n-gun and high flyers, but you can't blame the NBA for following the trend.

Dood, haven't you seen the coverage Paris Hilton gets? How can you NOT respect that fine citizen.

Any team who isn't the Spurs lost, but I hardly consider Phoenix a LOSING team under any other circumstances. They are one of the most fun teams to watch and will be contenders again next year without any major changes to their roster.

I'm glad they are finally spreading the teams we see on TV around. Always seemed like not too long ago that it was always Lakers vs whoever and that was it. Got pretty boring. This way we see more teams play.

Oh, Gee!!
