Splitter had 11 points and 8 rebounds on 5 for 5 shooting. Oh yeah, he played half as many minutes as Scola.

But seriously. If this game was gonna be made into a thread we should make it all about Splitter. Forget Scola.

He also could have had 16 pts in the same time had he not shot 1/6 on his free throws. Sounds like a Spur to me.

Don't forget the 4 steal and a block advantage Splitter has as well...in 17 minutes.

Splitter's line is more impressive. He shot better, he played better D, he got to the line more, and he did it in fewer minutes.

Just wait until Splitter gets some minutes...

Oh..and I will give Scola credit for Splitter's performance...

Scola was probably the guy that gave up his 5-5 from the field and trips to the FT line...

I just can't wait to see Duncan get him some Scola. With Adelman's help...Scola's going to make Brad Miller look like David Robinson on D...

Splitter<Scola
he learned almost all his post moves from him.. he may become better in the future.. but just not now... i have seen them both lots of time... and Splitter is WAY more turnover prone when he has to deal by himself down low. he doesn;t have the coolness required to make the right decision under double teams.. BUT he will get to a point where he'll be better than Scola... just not now gang...

Of course Scola is going to put up some numbers. Where's Fabi Oberto? Where's Gino. I would imagine he could put up 23 w/o two of Argentina's stars.

This game clearly tells us everything that we need to know about the players involved. Scola is a god, and Splitter will never miss a shot from the floor his entire career. The Spurs need to scout this Diego Logrippo person, too. And Carlos Delfino sucks.

Oh, and Nene's real name never fails to make me laugh.

Not likely that Splitter's going to be drawing a lot of double teams on the Spurs.

Scola has had an average game against Canada : 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 missed free throws in the clutch to tie the game.
Strangely, nobody speak about it or start a thread for that.

I guess we will see that all the year : People will only speak about Scola when he has a good game and won't say a word about him when he will have an average or bad game. :rolleyes

Yeah, they changed his stats in the final box score. Since I watched the play by play and updated the stats as they happened, I have no idea why it's different.

Without Ginobili, Nocioni, Hermman or Oberto, Scola is the first offensive option, he haven't 1-2 offensive options before him and even so, other big game lost

Amazing.
In three sentences, you have found a way to :
- being childish : "Mom, I'm not the only one to do it, he does it to."
- insulting me : "selfish frenchy way".
- making no sense at all : I don't see the link between being selfish and what you say.
- being dead wrong : I've reported a lot of times that Mahinmi was bad last season.

And if you don't say that you're sorry for insulting me, this post will be the last one directed to you. I'm not interested at all to talk with someone who insults me.

They both seem to have such good bball heads and feel for the game, plus some serious talent.

Great partners for Tim in his twilight years.

have you guys heard about the incident in between Canada and Argentina? it seems a Canadian asked Scola after missing two big free throws that would have tied the game " and you are going to play in the NBA? what a joke..." that ended in the two argentinean guards in a rant against them and Prigioni was pushed badly and as he reacted both Argies were ejected...
