Saw this on Real GM and started to wonder whether the Spurs should have gone after John Lucas III versus Spanoulis.

The Rockets are still trying to trade John Lucas III and will trade away Bob Sura's contract or buy it out.

Why are people still not grasping that the Spurs made the trade because Spanoulis was going to walk away from the contract completely, not because they wanted him?? The Rockets were lucky they had what amounted to a trade exception to trade.
