If they played today, the international team may escape with a win, given that Wilt is dead, Russell is like 65 years old, and Bird, Magic and Jordan are all like 300 lbs.
In their primes? USA team could beat them by at least 20 points, easy.
Only one in the international list is top 10/15 of all time. The other four are maybe in the top 200, 300 all time? All 5 in the USA list is top 10 all time.

I am sure that USA best has no competition... But, let's see...

WORLD:
PG Alexandar Djordjevich
SG Drazen Petrovich
SF Tony Kukoc
PF Dirk Nowitzki
C Arvydas Sabonis

reserves:
Vlade Divac
Predrag Danilovich
Tony Parker
Pau Gasol
Manu Ginobili
Yao Ming
Drazen Dalipagich

USA

PG Magic
SG MJ
SF Bird
PF Duncan
C Abdul-Jabbar

reserves (really doesn't matter for team USA...)
Pippen
Karl Malone
Stockton
Drexler
Chamberlain
Dr.J
Olajuwon

PG / Tony Parker
SG / Drazen Petrovic
SF / Manu Ginobili
PF / Dirk nowitski
C / Sabonis or Divac

Bench

Beno :lol
Djorjevic
Kirilenko (in his prime...)
Kukoc
Okur
Gazol
Sabonis or Divac
Yao

Euros weakness would be at the 3 spot.

What about today......like the top Internationals vs the Top USA team....

Nash/Tony Parker
Manu
Deng
Dirk
Duncan/Yao

Kidd/Billups/Paul
Kobe/Wade
Melo/Lebron
Garnett/Bosh
Howard/Shaq

That would be a fun series to watch.....best of 7 I give to the USA team as they would have a stronger bench overall...

I like the now teams, though I would go with this line-up

PG - Nash / Parker
SG - Manu / Barbosa
SF - Dirk / Deng
PF - Duncan / Nocioni
C - Yao / Nene

Its still a little thin, but this team would put up a fight against the US squad

LMAO! No Hakeem on any of these. Hell, technically Ewing is foreign as well, being born in Jamaica and all...

The problem with having a US v World is that this is as deep as the World goes at this point ... At least in the NBA right now. Raja Bell AK-47 and some younger players could round out the roster .. But that is about it.

all time foreign team, i would pick:

nash
manu
kukoc
olajuwon
sabonis

with parker, petrovic, nocioni, dirk, duncan as the 2nd unit

(no, manu isnt better than duncan, but he is the best international SG- and i think duncan complements dirk better than sabonis does)

SF, SG, PG are the weakest spots for the internationals by far

Petrovic
Galis
Bodiroga
Kukoc
Sabonis

A young Sabonis gives you athleticism and better than Chris Webber passing... He compliments anyone...

It'd have to be Nash, Petrovic, Oscar Schmidt, Nowitzki, and Sabonis with TP, Kukoc, Manu, Pau, Bodiroga, Yao and Olajuwon...

...still USA in a LANDSLIDE. No defense on the foreighn team to speak of. You could say Yao and Pau are okay, but not enough.

That is no slouch of a foreign team, by any stretch. Sabonis was awesome, Olijuwon was a 2 way player, and you have some of the greatest offensive players of all time. Nash can score and pass with the best of them... granted he would be a black hole on defense, Dirk can score like no other 7 footer, Kukoc can keep the ball evenly distributed, and do anything the coaches ask him to do. Manu is a phenomenal slasher, and depending on the rules, TP is adequate as a starter (to be benched in the 4th to let Nash in). Pau and Yao make up a phenomenal bench.

Let us not forget Olijuwon did play for the US olympic team, as did Duncan.

That team would keep things close with the all time great US team.
