Zero tolerance = zero common sense (http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/EJMontini/5662)

He never bothers to explain just why the subject in question thinks the rules shouldn't apply to him. WHINY BABIES!!!

two things:

(1) I'm glad that this is in both the NBA and the Spurs forum -- posting it in only one place would have defeated the purpose; and

(2) I'll now await shred's proclamation that Spurs fans who respond to this thread are obsessed with the Suns -- a proclamation that will come without the recognition that shred started this thread (despite protestations in other threads that "I ain't the one starting these threads. You people can't go more than 24 hours without posting about the Suns.") and that it couldn't conceivably have any relevance to the Spurs other than a loser fans' insistence that his team was somehow robbed because the rules weren't bent in his team's favor.

Another example of how those in Arizona don't expect the rules to apply to them. See Stoudemire, Amare: Suspension.

Flunking out of special ed is grounds for suspension?

He doesn't speak with bitterness. In fact, Stoudemire and the Suns were involved in the biggest controversy of the playoffs, the biggest controversy of the offseason (the Tim Donaghy scandal) and the biggest trade rumors of the summer, yet none of those topics makes him raise his voice.

On the suspension for leaving the bench during an altercation near the end of Game 4 against San Antonio: "I wasn't upset. I was kind of OK with it, because it is the rule. It is what it is.

"That's how you prevent those type of serious altercations, by keeping guys on the bench. But you do have to show support for your teammates and make sure they're OK. There's some gray area there, but I think it's a fair rule."

I'm disappointed. No macho boasts of manliness or threats of violence. You won't win Internet Tough Guy of the Year at this rate.

I think what they did was pretty fair. Your average middle schooler has more common sense than Amare Stoudemire, why shouldn't they be held to the same standard of punishment?

It'd be insulting to the middle schoolers?
