But I've always been pretty fond of game 4 of the 2001 WCF, but probably for inflammatory reasons...

I was always fond of every elimination game the Spurs were in from 1989-1995. I remember how David Robinson managed to step up and carry the Spurs on to the next round. Not even the Coyote could top those gems.

Why that game?

Spurs go into Phoenix and take homecourt from the Suns. TD was like MJ in that game. Phoenix had no answer at all.

Duncan was taking it to McDyess and was unstoppable in that game. When I saw that I knew the Spurs were going to start racking up championhips and quickly.

Is That the Game that Duncan was a rookie? Anyone remember The Tim Duncan game that made me and others wet our Boxers?

Remember the announcer ? he said This man cannot be stopped. Was that the game? I have it on VHS.

5. David Robinson's quad double against the PIstons and Sean Elliott's tearfull rearrival to San Antonio.

4.Game 1 1999 NBA Finals VS New York, My first and only attendad Finals game, awesome atmosphere, and SPurs won handily, GREAT night!

3. Game 6 WCF 2003 Awesome game to watch, over and over, the comeback is just awesome to watch, Kerr, Jackson, Duncan, Ginobili, Malik, all played awesome in that 4th quarter

2. Game 6 2003 SF VS LA Lakers The end of an era, Fisher crying, Shaq and Kobe weeping, Phil rubbing buddah up till the last minute with his polished manicured fingers.
Steve Smith rubbing it in with an unnecessary three at the end.

1. Game 5 1999 NBA Finals VS New York The first is always sweet, Elliott rebounding the ball and bouncing it on the floor, Duncan and Robinson symbolically guarding Sprewell to force an airball.

So many games....hmmm

5 My first game at the Hemisfair- against the San Diego (yes kids, I said San Diego) Clippers. :)

4 The Memorial Day Miracle

3 Gervin's return to SA- as a Chicago Bull. The crowed cheered for 20 min and the game was delayed a bit. Bulls won, but it was good to see Ice again.

2 03 finals, game 6. Good to see Kobe cry that year!

1 99 finals, game 5- I cried like Kobe that day. All those years of frustration were over!

hehe

Wewll to me this is the most hated Finals. I hated Jordan when he was winning, but seeing Shaq talking his stupid talk and ppl acculay finding this funny.. :rolleyes that makes me throw my meal out of me. Shit I hate this guy.
And Dallas missing an oppurtunity :pctoss
Dirk making a fight with a bike and a chair and accualy lossing this fight previously winning with the Spurs. Damn - Dallas was much better in the second round, fresh hungry whatever. They were better. Plus some guys I don't like rooting for Miami.
This are the Finals where I getting pissed off.

Nobody is saying Duncanīs almost quad double in game 6 of the 2003 finals. He was only 2 blocks away. And game 5 from 2005 has got to be top 5 come on.

I know it was a regular season game, but the 04-05 season, Spurs were down like 18 in the 4th at PHX, came back only to see Marion hit a shot at the buzzer to send it to OT. Then Manu took over and the Spurs won... that was a pretty fun game to watch.

1Parker1
06-19-2006, 11:03 AM
^Yea, the 48 point Manu performance has to be up there. As well as the back to back road OT wins last year against Clipps and a hot Warriors team, without TD and one without TD AND Manu. :tu

Many games have had awesome moments for me... but this really stick out as special in my mind.

#5 Game 7 2006- even though we lost it was still an epic comeback.

#4 March 1, 2004 vs Grizzlies- my first Spurs game at the SBC Center

#3 January 9, 2005 vs Bucks- my first game working in the Terrace Club

#2 March 25, 2004 vs Detroit- first time sitting in the lower level. It was the day I met Rasho and got Timmy's autograph.

#1 Game 7 2005- Nuff said. :fro

Seeing David Robinson walk off the court in 2003 jumping around and smiling, leaving on the highest individual not (he played great) as well as team note...well, nothing will ever beat that for me. Easily my most favourite moment in Sport. Ever.

Putting David Robinson's 71 point game up there is pretty lame IMHO. He shot the ball like 50 times, and even the Clippers were rooting for him, so it's not like they were playing defense. David then proceeded to get lit the fuck up in the playoffs because the coach had thought it would be really great to wear his superstar out at the end of the regular season. The legacy of brilliant coaching decisions continues unabated in San Antonio.

Gotta have a Gervin game and this one was a barnburner. He and Mike Newlin (no mean shootin' machine himself) got into a duel that saw them going mano-a-mano through three overtimes until the Spurs won. Gervin had like 63 points and Newlin 45 or so. I have the origingal box score (autographed by both players) that was handed out in the old Spurs corral somewhere in my Spur memorabilia.

5. With Duncan and Parker out Manu carries the Spurs to OT vs the 4 HOF Lakers at the beginning of the 04 season before eventually losing a heartbreaker. I have never been prouder of a team than that night.

4. The '99 Houston comeback game in Houston where it all clicked and the Spurs went on their championship run. Mario throwing daggers at Houston.

3. Sean Elliott's post-transplant comeback game. Saw this in person. When he finally dunked the ball the whole place exploded.

2. Game 5 2005 Finals. Robert. Effing. Horry.

1. Tie MDM and Game 6 2003 Finals. MDM - what needs to be said? I was at Game 6. Championship clinching game brings down the curtain on the SBC's first season. DRob dominates the boards in his final game. Duncan almost nails a quadruple double. It just doesn't get any sweeter than that.

5. Jan. 14th 2006 Spurs beat Grizz 80-79 off Tim's game winning alley oop. I was there and the whole crowd went insane. Awesome stuff.
4. Game 6 WCSF 2003 - ending the Laker's dynasty was just amazing
3. Game 5 2005 Finals - Horry
2. Game 7 2005 Finals - Tim came through when needed most and the Spurs got their 3rd ring off their 1st ever game 7 in the TD era.
1. Game 6 2003 Finals - The greatest individual performance in the finals I have seen in the Finals LIVE by TD with his near quadrouple double. Seeing DRob ride off into the sunset with another ring was amazing.

That game went to Double OT.... I was there :spin
Ginobili had some crazy circus shots in that game....
He also bounce passed a Robert Horry Dunk assist between Kobe's legs in this game. And for good measure Kobe fell on his rear while taunting the crowd... it was classic.
