Its one of the biggest mysteries on earth. How the heck does Fred's Fish Fry stay open. Every time I pass by one, its empty.

I thought it was the cocaine business in the back that kept it going.

I ate there at lunch just on a whim today...........it was 12:20pm.......and including myself there were two people eating fish sticks. 3 cars went thru the drive thru as I ate. I have no idea how they stay open either.

Still open? They just opened a brand-new one on Culebra about a mile or so south of Tezel.

I have never tried a Fred's Fish Fry. It's usually in an area where I drive through really fast. hahaha

I haven't had Freds since probably 1992. I thought they went out of business but apparently not.

I used to go there with my dad, I recall enjoying it as a kid, but I haven't been there in a while, I do go to Jacala which is right across the street from Fred's, and I think I ate there once a couple years ago, but I'm not totally sure...

They aren't kidding about "Fry". Even the corn cob looks fried.

I was about to say this until I read your post.
It is sad when every time I drive past one there are no cars in the parking lot.....including employees.....yet the just opened a new location on Culebra outside Loop 410 across from McDonald's.

I was also gonna post a question asking about the quality of food there...lebomb answered it for me...I'll stick with Sea Island or LJS's.

At least you don't have to wait in line at Fred's.
