Elson didn't play last time we played Great Brittain and he won't play tonight either. Elson is up in the air right now flying back to San Antonio as a result of the injury I reported last week:

Elson went down in the 2nd quarter when he collided with the elbow from a Russian dude. He was laying on the floor and was complaining about double vision and a headache. With the collision, pressure was put on Elson's eye socket and there's a chance he has a minor contusion. Elson was given a carte blanche to enter the game when he felt ready for it. He did and finished the game with 21 points and 4 block shots leading the Dutch team to an upset vs. them Russians.

Elson's injury will be closely monitored the next days as the next match for the Euro qualification awaits next Saturday in Slovakia.

Elson had taken rest after the game vs. Russia and he played a monster game in the loss to Slovakia. Again he took rest, but this time he experienced a setback. The dutch medical staff did a medical examination and forbid Elson to play for the benefit of his own health. After extensive contact between the Dutch Basketball Fedearation and the Spurs it was decided to get Elson back to San Antonio immediately for further exeminations and threatment.

DAMNED!!!
We were soooo close to promotion to the A-status!
Elson wanted to help out so badly.......................

Speedy recovery to you Cisco!
