View Full Version : Is there anyway to have just one Scola thread?

I've been away for a while--I come back and see Scola threads after every game, whenever he sneezes, when he has a good game, bad game, doesn't play--you name it.
Isn't there any way that we could decide to just have a sticky named "Scola" and let people write to their hearts desire about the most famous player who slipped through our fingers.
For the record--I would have loved to have had Scola on the team.
He's not playing for us.
Probably will never play for us.
Only time will tell if RC made a bone head decision or a wise decision.
But looking forward to the season--are we really going to have Scola threads everyday?
If we don't have a sticky--can we maybe put these threads on other team threads?
I admit--to me, it hurts like hell that Scola isn't playing for the Spurs. Kinda wish I could forget about this when reading these pages.

I get the Scolafans point. I like Scola too. But so many Scolafans new trolls in this forum suck. They don't respect a different opinion. That's the matter.
Sure, every day we going to have Scola threads. Just imagine how will be every game Rockets vs Spurs with Scolafans trolls in the forum, sick me. :bang

I understand--
If I were a Rox fan, I'd be pretty happy to have Scola, too and would probably write about this a lot.
But this is a Spurs site.
The guy ain't a Spur.
Shouldn't he be treated like any other non-spur--i.e., in a different thread in a generic NBA thread as opposed to a Spurs thread?

This is a discussion forum and Scola has been a Spurs draft pick for a number of years.
This will go on through the season until next year at least, so get used to it.

maybe
kori may move some of those threads in the nba section during the nba reason
right now it is the offseason
however she wants to run it is fine with me though
I am sure some here will post updates of his only good games and some will post updates of his bad games

Scola threads will only breed anti-Scola sentiments.
Like when you lose something and are constantly reminded about it--it gets pretty sick after a while.
But it is going to really suck this year to have to see all the Scola threads--especially if they happen to occur after a Spurs loss.

Kinda like death and taxes. Just another one of life's cruel inevitables.

Scola threads are like Lay's Potato Chips. You can't have just one.

My only question: Is there a ScolaDynasty troll yet?

It's the offseason.
Deal with it.
In the season, there will be no Scola threads in the Spurs forum unless the Spurs are playing the Rockets.
Right now, people are just dying for basketball related topics until training camp starts.

Maybe I'm too young, but there was a player named BRICKowski?

To answer the original question yes it would be possible, if you banned all the Argies

What I find funny about all these Scola's thread is that most of them are based on Scola's games at Las Vegas.
Now the reality : The level in this tournament is crap. Euroleague level and Spanish league level is way higher and Scola has played tons of games in these leagues.
Judging Scola by looking at what he does in the las Vegas tournament is as stupid as judging Duncan by looking at what he does in some preseason games.

Yes there was, he was part of the three-headed monster(Brick, Smrek, Gudmunsson :lol ) at Center before D-Rob arrived then backed up TC at forward.

If Scola does well, you can bet on it.
If Scola fades away, chances diminish.

Nothing like a free speech, anyhow Scola is someone that delivers passion since we expected him around for years and now we sent him to Houston, I mean Toronto and/or CHicago would have been better.
