Dick.

I hope this means the end of Lloyd Carr in Ann Arbor. The calls into the sports radio shows are extremely vicious right now and deservedly so. WolverineFan has wanted Carr gone for years and now, hopefully, they have the ammo to can his old, conservative ass...

On the one hand, I can see your point. Michigan seems to have underachieved several times in past years.

On the other hand, Carr arguably has been even more successful than Bo.

Sure, but Carr's best coaching days are behind him. The Wolverines were ill-prepared to play Appalachian State and that falls squarely on the shoulders of Coach Carr.

He'll probably stay because one of his best friend's is AD Bill Martin.

I feel bad for Mike Hart. He almost singlehandedly carried the entire team to a W today...

end yourself. but one more thing more aggrivating than the loss is the fact that i couldnt even watch the f'n game. seriously wtf, i live in michigan, show me the fucking game and not games i dont care about. we need to do something though, seems like we always get to a bowl game and decide to not show up, its so frustrating. then today...sigh.

Yeah, we suck. This was supposed to be a great year for Michigan football. I'm disgusted. We deserve to get made fun of. This senior group should have been better today. I'm pissed today.

WTF is up with Michigan's defense? There's no reason to allow that many points to App St. The #5 ranked team going down to a D-AA school. Ridiculous.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!! That was some funny ass shit. Michigan is so fucking overrated. LMFAO @ everyone who thought that they would have a great year. Well your not off to a very good start.

Man this one really stuns me. That's why Arkansas didn't take Troy lightly after their own accomplishments last year.

It is likely to add dollars to the university coffers as well. In addition to the $400,000 Appalachian State received from Michigan for playing the game, the athletic director Charlie Cobb said the local Wal-Mart would sell as much as $1 million worth of Appalachian State merchandise this year.

And the college has found some new clients as well. Cobb said Ohio retailers are looking to stock Appalachian State apparel now.

It seems Ohio State fans are suddenly very fond of the Mountaineers.

I was in Cleveland Saturday night, and there was some Appalachian St. fans out that stopped by Cleveland on their way back to the game. They said that they had already been bought about $150 in drinks each (there were four of them). Someone even gave them Indians tickets to the game the next day.

I thought it was hilarious.

I didnt see it (obviously, blackout), but I was getting the play-by-play from some UM fans on the other beach up north.

These guys were crying in their beers.

After last year when USC romped UM and Florida absolutely dismantled OU, sorry, Big Ten is Overrated country.

it goes in cycles. Right now I agree, but the SEC will have it's day come.

ENOUGH!!! We (Michigan fans) need to STFU and take it. We need to take it all, from whoever wants to sling it our way. There is no need for crying, for finger pointing or excuse making. Most Michigan fans have a reputation of being pompous, arrogant assholes, and that is indisputable. We need to take our medicine and learn from our mistakes. The time for enjoying not losing instead of winning is over. I am not going to be calling for the head of Lloyd Carr quite yet, because he is a great man and deserves a chance to salvage this season. Every football program would be better off if it had a man like Lloyd Carr involved with its program, but being a great man doesn't win you any football games, and if he can't make something of this season, it is time for him to ride off into retirement. Rest assured, I for one will be calling for someone outside the Michigan family to take over when Lloyd is done. No more Michigan men, but sucessful winning men, and sadly, that might not go hand in hand right now.
