DALLAS (AP) -- The Dallas Mavericks wavied forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu on Friday.

Mensah-Bonsu played only 12 games as a rookie last season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 5.9 minutes per game.

Searched for it and found nothing, so sorry if this has been posted already. Admittedly I know nothing about this guy, but I've seen some of you talking about his potential his release. Well, now it's official.

Because he is worthless. It just typical of fans to overate their own players. Yes Pops is a great athlete but it takes more than that to make it in this league and expect to get meaningful playing time. From summer lg it was obvious Brandon Bass was the better player and out-performed Pops. He has the skills to come in a contribute somewhat. Bass has much better offensive skills than just trying to out jump people to get shots off.

He is gonna play in Europe they and still have the rights to him(i.e P-Pod, Reyshawn Terry,Renaldas Seibutis) Hopefully, if he plays well, they might sign him back in a year or so.
