PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia 76ers center Samuel Dalembert has a stress fracture in his left foot but is still expected to participate when the team opens training camp in early October.
An MRI on Wednesday revealed the fracture. Dalembert will wear a cast for the next three weeks.
"We will closely monitor Sam's status over the next three weeks, but we anticipate that he will be ready to return to the court in time for the start of training camp," said team president Billy King.
Dalembert, 26, averaged 10.7 points and 8.9 rebounds while starting all 82 games last season for the Sixers. He played in the just-completed FIBA Americas tournament for the Canadian team that was ousted in the quarterfinals.
The Sixers opens training camp Oct. 2 at Duke University.

Hopefully it won't be too bad; doesn't sound like it is. 76ers need all the help they can get.
