Anyone seen the show? I think he was the highlight of the evening (well, there's the fight between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee). Dancing to his single followed by a semi irritating surprise performance of eye candy Rihanna and his rendition of Micheal Jackson's strut. Damn kid got the moves.

Yeah, I think his performance was the best. I didn't watch all of the VMA's live (thank goodness for the DVR...I fast forward through everything plus I was watching the Cowboys). I loved how they used the tables as dance floors during that performance.

I heard on the radio this morning that Britney Spears was awful.

I'd never willingly listen to a Chris Brown song, but as a dancer I've got huge respect for what he did last night. The choreography in the opening, when he was supposed to be a toy, was very complicated.

I guess i'm old because about 90% of the time i was telling myself "this is music". Alicia Keys rocked. She actually played. Everyone else Karaoked. It was nice seeing Mastodon for the 45 seconds they showed them. Why can't more people actually perform their music these days? It's all about vanity these days. sad, sad, sad.

The shit happening in the various suites that they cut to was 1,000% more interesting to me than anything that happened on stage. I love Alicia Keys and love the fact that she actually sang, and I did appreciate Chris Brown's dancing, but the rest of the show could have been scrapped in favor of the Foo Fighters and Kanye West suites.

Cee-lo singing "Darling Nikki" with Foo Fighters and I only got to see the last few seconds of it? Boo!

"They are the most adorable little mistakes you'll ever see. They're as cute as the hairless vagina that they came out of" - Britney on slam by Sarah Silverman :blah

I thought Britney looked really stiff in her dance, and she wasn't that great either. Too much hype for her. As for Chris Brown, I thought his performance was amazing.

OK, this has been bugging me for a while. Why the F does MTV even have VMAs? It's not like they play videos anymore...
