BUT WE GOT THE W!

the D looked crazy good, but our offense, minus the last drive, looked pretty shitty

You can thank Matt Leinart's shitty ass and the never won shit Cardinals for the good defensive performance. You should be pissed as hell that you almost lost to that pack of bitches at home.

our secondary and Patrick Willis were amazing on D

Willis looked good.

Leinart, DJax and Smith didn't.

30 yards of total offense against the Cards' D in 20+ minutes of football? That's flat out pathetic.

That just shows you individual pursuit of glory wont lead you anywhere, had eric green just slid and curled up on the ball like a baby instead of trying to pick it up and run then the cardinals woulda won it. That's 2 straight heartbreaking performances by the cardinals on monday night football.

Ahh, the ol' snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I know and feel your pain.

Is that similar to the way Tigers fans were snatching home run balls off the bats of Texas Rangers' hitters this afternoon?

Nah, more like last year's regular season finale for the Cowboys and their ensuing playoff game.

it's just so frustrating to see a team full of potential to keep on losing games like that. Yeah, i can live with blown field goals but end game mind lapses that would have sealed the victory? Stupid losing attitude rubs on everyone! :pctoss

So you're saying they choked like little bitches, completely underachieved, and should now run off the head coach and bring in San Diego's defensive coordinator?

Yes they choked and they keep on doing it even if they already overhauled their team and now they added a winning coach and they still cant shake that losing attitude. You think its about the reputation of the team that affects you psychologically? Well, it's only week 1 and I hope I eat crow as the season progresses.

It's only week one and they almost pulled off a road win so it's too early to deem the season a bust. I think they have a good defense, but Leinart just doesn't look good. He's got weapons, but fails to get them the ball. If he turns it around they could still end up with a good season.

the niners have 2 pro bowl cornerbacks... leinart is a good qb, he just had a shitty game.

Yeah he sucked! He opened the season with a turnover INT and looked lost whenever he was ran out of the pocket. the Cardinal's strength is the passing game with its 2 WRs so they gotta have to protect Leinart properly.

Two things I saw your QB can't help but overthrow all his passes it's his third year. The last drive he threw a deep ball his best pass of the game only to see the WR drop it. The other thing what is wrong with V Davis how does a beast like that only have 2 catches for 3 yards. If you guys had a QB SF would be a playoff team The D looked good.

i know alex sucks, but yesterdays game wasn't all on him... he didn't have too much time and the play calling was garbage.

I know he is 23 but I just don't see greatness in him. Why not pick up Leftwich you guys could win your div.

I think Smith is an enigma in that, he looks crappy one week looking like Brooks Bollinger, then the next week he turns around and looks like Joe freakin Montana.

The niner's D was very impressive. The playcalling and the offensive line play though sucked eggs.

They should have no problem beating the Rams this week though.

I think this guy has had a difficult time since the moment he was drafted. He has had 3 different offensive coordinators during his three years in the league. I think that would affect anyone to be honest. I don't think he will be a GREAT QB, but I think he will be a GOOD QB. It's difficult to just blame him for the offensive performance on Monday. I think it was more of the offensive coordinator then anything...they were playing to conservative. Yet, is there anything wrong with that? The D was playing some great football. If you watched the game, there were at least 3 dropped passes that looked good as well. In the end, he stepped when he needed to. I would rather have a QB play like crap and step up when it counts rather than a QB playing great and losing the game. He has matured alot since he first entered the league and he will progress...
