when is the best time to end the auction.....

on a weekend afternoon/early evening when people will be home.
or like 3pm on a wednesday when you know people will be at work.

i think more people bid from work.

what do you think?

I found it better later in the day when people are home. They have more time to pay attention to it. Besides if someone really wants your item they will watch it and know when it ends anyways. But I would end it around 6pm or 7pm on a weekday. This will give both parties a fair chance to bid.

It doesn't matter to me. I always just decide the max I'm wiling to pay and use a free sniper service...they e-mail me and tell me if I got it and what I paid for it...plus I really like jerking the auction watchers around even if I lose...I love it when they have a max registered with ebay but think they stole something and then 10 seconds before the bid ends my bid hits and the autobid kicks in and suddenly they are paying $100 more than they thought they would LOL.

Speaking of Ebay- I hate when I make transactions and I leave them (positive) feedback and they don't leave me anything.

That sux.

I won an auction that ended at 1:00 am my time in the morning

end it like around 3-5 in the afternoon when most folks are playing on the computer waiting to go home

I won the last 2 things I bid on on eBay.

My son was pissssssssssed cuz something he was bidding on got sniped at the last minute. He was trying to get that last bid in when it ended.

But the next day, a similar item went up, and he was the only bidder and got it for $5 less than the one he'd lost the day before! lol

I got nasty feedback from someone about a calculator a few years ago. Now I just use my mom's name. Nothing can bring down her feedback. She has like 50000000 thingies. :)

That being said, the 3-7 thing sounds good.

I end mine on Sundays at 6 or 7 PM. Most people are home around that time...
