I was hired by b5media as the sports channel editor, one of the things that I need to do on my first day on the job is hire a bunch of bloggers.
This is a paid position but don't expect the big bucks.
What I'm looking for is someone who really wants to write about sports, is passionate about their topic, and is willing to put in the effort to make the blog grow (which means more money for you).

For the several people who asked via PM why certain sports aren't listed, it's because there are already some existing sports blogs on the channel.

Paid position? Really? Surely it can't be much at all. Not that it makes a whole lot of difference (I'm interested regardless of pay) but do you have any idea what they offer? I'd probably do it just for fun and for free, but for a little extra cash I'd gladly be extra zealous in the effort.

PS: But that "taken by the worm" comment by means indicates my willingness to write a "fishing" blog as they are requesting.
PPS: What exactly is your role in selecting potential bloggers? If these aps get passed along to you from somebody else then it sounds as if you're at least privy to the decision making process (if not heavily involved).

The baseball blog already exists and has a writer.
Minor leagues might eventually happen but not in this set of blogs.

Well, I signed up and wrote a sample blog of a topic that I've wrote before. It's small, but it asked for a sample and that's what it did. If this comes through, it would be a godsend, because I'm jobless and starting college and with this I could focus more on studying, then suiting up and finding a job.

I'd love to do NBA or College Football/Basketball, and I've definitely got the time to put in work. I'll apply for those.
Wow I just tried to write something and you'll never believe how horrible it was...
My teachers used to tell me how good of a writer I was in school, I used to get perfect scores on those standardized tests, I guess teaching to standardized tests really doesn't work.

I blog about Shoes, Fashion, Beauty, Travel, Luxury Items, Weddings and Sports.
I also write articles and columns about basketball, football, San Antonio, careers, weddings, travel, beauty and a multitude of other things.
Contrary to how it may look on the forum :lol I actually write about 10 hours a day and make a pretty decent living at it.
And yes, I will be starting to blog about sports on b5 within the next few weeks.

I did apply, I figured if I wrote the damn thing I might as well apply, but I don't expect anything, at least I found out I'm a horrible writer.
Sometimes it's just as helpful to know what you're bad about as it is it know what you're good at...

Umm.. I think I made it pretty clear that anyone with any sincere interest could PM me for details. I don't own the company, so I don't set the rules about them not posting the salary in the ad.

Plenty of Aussies around here, and seeing as we've dominated the sport for the last 15 years... :lol
I thought about it, but really, I'm not as interested as i used to be. It's a summer thing for me these days.
Now if there was an Aussie Rules Football blog, I'd be all over it. It's playoff time. my team is out, but all my mates/relatives go for the Geelong Cats, and they haven't won since the 1950s, so go Catters!!! :spin
NBA I could do, I'm unsure if I would have enough time, I will have a think about it though!
Cricket I could do, but every blog would be filled with words about my extreme hate for the Australia Cricket Team :)
