Take this however you want, but I found this this morning...for all those people worried about Tony bolting for L.A....

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20056969,00.html

I'm only printing the quote:

"Tony definitely wants to live in Texas. We both want to live in Texas," she tells Extra TV. "We'll spend our summers in France. We want to do both, but they'll be raised in America."

bu bu bubut, surely he'll leave after his contract is up. NO WAY he stays in San Antonio. He wants to be in the spotlight! He'll just go to LA cause eva wants him to go. Then once they move they'll get a divorce because you know that's how celebrities do it. They've already been married longer than anyone expected they would be!

Everyone gives lip service to the man being in charge of career decisions in a marriage--but women really rule.

We're lucky that Eva is from Corpus. If she was anything but a Texas girl herself, the inevitable draw of NY and LA for her careet would put a lot more pressure on TP to move when his contract is up.

By the time his contract expires, hopefully Eva will be embroiled in having kids and her career may be waning so she'll be content to be Ms. Parker.

Yeah. You should always believe what celebrities tell the media.

You can take the girl for awhile out of texas, but you'll never take texas out of the girl!

Maybe they meant "live in Texas" as opposed to "being dragged behind a pickup by barbed wire and dying in Texas." You could interpret those quotes several different ways you know...

Just having a little fun. I would never intentionally ridicule Texas, since you're all armed to the teeth and whatnot...

maybe if you dont have enough self respect to demand an equal voice.

its funny i actually met a guy that was about 300 pounds that was the victim of spousal abuse. i guess it takes all kinds but personally if you have to subjugate your wants and desires exclusively thats pretty dysfunctional. Its about equality and respect not about dominance.

If I'm married to Eva, I'd let her make all the decision! She can do whatever she wants to me!

Who cares, TD will be long gone by then.

We'll have bigger problems than worrying what Tony will do next.

More Eva News...She and Tony hate her on screen kisses.
I know, it's a stretch to be Spurs related but this long off season is getting to me!

Eva Longoria Hates On Screen Kisses
But not as much as husband Tony...

By: Cher Tippetts

Eva Longoria has confessed that she finds kissing her on screen co-stars a big turn off.

"I hate the kissing. Kissing is the most intimate thing," she tells Extra TV. "It was weird for me before I was married."

Eva - who wed San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker this summer - also admits that the topic is off limits at home.

"I'm not sure he's happy with it, but he's not the crazy husband about it," says the Desperate Housewives star.

"We don't talk about it because it's just not a comfortable thing to talk about."

A lot will depend IMO on how Eva's career is doing at the time Tony's contract expires. If her star declines, then she might bebmore inclined to stay in Texas.

David Robinsons and Tim Duncans don't fall from the sky. We've been LUCKY to have that for 20 yrs now. 2 of the best ever. TP is great but Manu and TD are locked in and will be on the downside if not retired by the time TPs contract is up.

What would we be when Robinson retired if we had our late first round picks, reluctant bottom scrap free agents and Manu with TP? No TD?

You can't just assume we'll have a super-duper star future HOFer fall from the sky again and into that silver and black.

All I'm saying is don't count on it. Look around the NBA, those franchise HOFers don't follow the last ones without skipping a beat all the time (Boston after Bird days, Lakers after Magic days, Bulls after MJ). We got lucky beyond reason, twice. I think we may be due to NOT bag the next great big when TD is done.

Keep in mind that it also depends on the Spurs. It's a business and there are no guarantees against a trade unless a clause is in the contract.

It's really stupid to speculate right now where TP will be at the end of his contract!

So many things (good/bad) can happen and are unpredictable!

I have a feeling Tony will bolt as soon as Tim gets old/retires and the rings stop coming.

Yes, I am jealous that Texas ranks slightly ahead of Indiana in hate crimes...

Actually, I was making a joke, or jokes. I come to Texas once every year or two to hunt with my relatives. I knew someone would get their panties in a twist. I'm surprised it took this long.

If you think that is a dumb statement, then you haven't been around here much lately...

Well normally, I wouldn't post something like this, but since you've taken it to the level of bashing states...
I've lived in both TX and currently in IN...TX for 16 years, and IN for almost as long...and any day of the week, I'd take TX over IN!

To each his own.

You guys are way too serious. Last week, I made a joke in questionable taste. Now I'm bashing other states?

Indiana is about dead last in every state ranking (educational attainment, average income, etc.). Hence, the humor in the statement(s). I've made several posts in the two years that I have been here that emphasize how incredibly racist Indiana can be, especially toward NBA players.

I would rather live in Texas than in Indiana also.

Let it go, folks.
