So I need my windshield replaced and I wanted to get people's opinions of local places and pricing as well as things I might need to ask/look out for.

I went to Safelite.com and was quoted ~$240 for everything (sans taxes). Is that a decent deal?

I went to some other shop for a rear window replacement and got the wrong size put in. I will never go to another shop for auto glass.

I got a rear window from Safelite and I was real happy with the service. I called a couple of places and their price was good. Plus they came to my house the morning I called; the installer guy was very nice and the window has worked out fine.

I've used them too for my car and the wife's car too.

Good people and a good deal.

Hey did you call the insurance company. Sometimes, if you
go to who they recommend you want have to pay anything.

hey what kind of car was it that you got your windshield replaced? Does the price vary depending on what you drive?

I used this place, the name escapes me, one time that was on Rayburn and IH 35 one time. I had the front windshield of a F150 replaced for $150..and they came to my house to do it.

Can't beat that.

Eagle Auto Glass is the one I think Zstomp is talking about.
