Don't let TSA find this.
I really need Randy Moss to get 4 TDs and 300 yards... or Gotskowski to kick 10 FGs and a couple PATs... but the Pats to still lose so I can win Fantasy this week.
Don't let TSA find this.
This thread is going to turn into a Chargers homer thread the minute he clicks on it so WGAF. What has his team's QB done lately? I know what my team's has.

Pats are stacked this year. Everyone else is just playing for 2nd. Don't know why they felt they needed to cheat. They could use smoke signals to call in the plays and still steamroll most any team.
:lol though at the NFL having to put people on the Pats' sidline to make sure they're not up to any frequency jamming hijinx. I guess it was more than just a rumor.

VY is hard to defend because he's so good at scrambling. You have to put a lot of guys in the box even on pass plays because you don't know what he's going to do. Common sense says you blitz him because he doesn't have much talent at WR, but when you do that your pass defense is weakened because you play man-to-man with the wideouts. The Titans always play the Colts well, I dunno what it is, but it's the best matchup in the AFC South by far. The good thing I take from this game is that we stopped Vince Young from being all over SportsCenter with a game winning drive. He doesn't have any pressure when it comes to short clock or 2 minute drill.
Dungy should have challenged the ruling when Manning was picked in the second half....the Titans safety forced Reggie off his route well after 5 yards and there was clearly contact on that play. That gave the Titans the ball in the red zone and they're good enough to convert in short field situations. And I don't know what Vinatieri was thinking missing a 36 yard FG. The Colts should have won by 10 but certain rare incidents made the score closer than the game was. Peyton owned their defense for most of the day and I'm continuing to enjoy the revised offensive formations.

Can we just simulate the season like in Madden 2008? Seriously no one stands a fucking chance in hell of even giving the Pats a fight. Just give the Pats the trophy. They are too good for anyone including the Colts. Again Randy Moss is the best wideout in the league once again. This D is down right sick and their offense is flat out unstoppable. The only team who will be a threat to the Pats is the Pats themselves.

The Texans and 49ers are 2-0 too, let's give them a trophy also.
I beat the Pats on All Madden with Jim Sorgi as QB because even Madden 08 loves the Patriots and jewed me by taking Manning out of the game early.

My thoughts exactly. The Pats are in a league of their own this year. If they can manage to stay healthy, it's over. Sucks for the rest of us. Thanks be to God for fantasy football, otherwise this season would be hardly worth watching.

This is the most talented, versatile, athletic well rounded Pats team EVER in the Tom Brady era. This team is too good to not win it all. The Chargers played a different Pats team than they are facing now. Week 9 the Colts will discover the same thing. Brady is the clutchest and smartest qb in the league. Moss is the best wideout, their defense is easily among the best, and their coach hands down is the best possibly even in NFL history. I also have Brady,Moss,Pats D on my fantasy league. :clap :clap :) My best friend up here is a Boston Native. He bleeds Boston blood in all sports.
ONLY 2 things will beat the Pats.... Team Chemistry issues and health issues. Chemistry is never a problem with a great squad as this one. So as long as they remain healthy, book their flights to Arizona to pick up trophy #4.

Doesn't look like you've paid much attention to the Colts defense starting last season's playoffs when Sanders returned. They play with a different attitude and Sanders himself is a top 5 defensive player in this league.
And do you even want to try and compare the offenses? For real dude, Pats vs Colts offense matchup is a draw. Easy. Great QB, wideouts, and RB on both sides. Week 9 is going to be a whoever has the ball last wins kind of game.

No point in talking any shit.....this is the equivalent of the Patriots beating Houston or Oakland's brains in, they're just taking care of business against a team that ISN'T ANYWHERE NEAR THEIR LEVEL. ONE TEAM is on the Patriots level.....or, since they are the defending champs and all, I'll say that ONE TEAM is on the Colts level, and that's New England. The definitely looked very good, but it's too early to tell if the only two teams that will contend are NE and Indy. We'll see where things are at come week 17. A Brady broken leg here or a Manning severed head there and everything is different. Even without injuries you never now how good a team will perform in the one and done playoffs.

"beating a team they're supposed to beat. No surprises" isn't a stupid statement until SpursDynasty puts it in the context of an 8 seed beating a 1 seed.
if the Spurs beat the Hornets, they ARE beating a team they're supposed to beat. And the Patriots beating the hell out of the Chargers is the football equivalent of the Spurs beating the Hornets.

I still fail to see how this 2007 Patriots team going out and beating the hell out of a very good Chargers team somehow redeems the Patriots for the possible winning through cheating that occurred prior to 2007. This isn't the same team that possibly cheated to win 3 titles, how does this team winning this game have anything to do with that? I ask because I've actually heard some radio and tv sports people suggest as much.

in the NBA, 60 wins means something for next season.
in the NFL, that isn't always the case. See the Chicago Bears that went 13-3 one season and 4-12 the very next year.
Teams can ride an easy schedule in the NFL, and can play way over their heads for one year.
The Chargers have been an up and down team for 4 or 5 years now. Add the worst Head Coach in the NFL and I see 8-8 or 9-7.
There's nothing SpursDynasty about this. The NBA and the NFL are two completely different animals. A 60 win team in the NBA is still a 60 win team barring injuries or a total meltdown. A 14 win team in the NFL could easily be a 7 win team the next year despite nothing major changing. How do you explain away New Orleans, who went from an incredibly potent offense to putrid? And in San Diego's case, major changes DID occur.
Certain teams like New England, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh can maintain success due to their solidarity in the organization from the top down. San Diego isn't one of those teams.
