I have a friend who will be visiting SA from Wisconsin with her husband and another couple. She wants to go to a day spa with her friend and do a pampering day while the guys play golf. Facials, manis, pedis, etc. Any good recs? They are up on the NW side of town, if that helps.

Thanks so much!

Oh, Gee!!

You didn't mention where they were staying but here are a few good ones and with a listing of all the salons.

A comprehensive listing of all salons...

Good spas I have personally tried out...

Isabelle's Day Spa (http://www.isabellesdayspa.com/spapackage.htm)

Jeanette's (http://www.jeanettes-hairandspa.com/home.htm)

Spa d'sante (http://www.spadsante.com/)

I would try the Hyatt or Westin La Cantera...

Jeanette's is awesome....I'd definitely second that choice.

I don't know if he still does or not, but Bruce Bowen used to get pedicures there. :fro

The Watermark is rated tops in San Antonio by far, at least that is the line my ex gave me when convincing me to pay for her to spend a day there...

I think he's going to start using Yardley's new spa, if he knows what's good for him. :p:

The Watermark is an awesome spa & so is Woodhouse Day Spa in the Quarry. I didn' t list those earlier because she said they were looking for something in the NW area.

The day I spent at the Watermark (thanks to my wonderful husband) was probably one of the most enjoyable relaxing days ever.

Sorry... my reading comprehension is on the fritz... My ex got bought me a few massages at Spa D'Sante on Huebner, and I enjoyed them every time - but only went for the basic 1 hour massage.

I had a pedicure next to him once. Then Summers flounced in the quiet serene environment to (loudly) show off her fabulous new hair-do. He was amused :lol

Anyway, for a mid-range spa I like Jeanette's as well.

Fantastic! They may be willing to drive around, but I don't know how far. Thanks everyone, I'm forwarding the thread to her now.

I think I actually yelled, "Look at me! I'm fabulous!" while turning around and flipping my hair :lol
:p:

It was awesome. Even more so (much) later when we realized who he was.
