A&M's run game is one of the best I've seen in a few years of CFB, but will that put up enough points to overcome Miami at home?

Even JGW and his young prepubescent jackoff followers can't admit the A&M defense has been all that.

Furthermore, if they do force turnovers and score off them, how do you like a decent lead with Coach Fran taking the foot off the gas every time he builds a comfortable lead?
Fresno State would have won that game if their receiver did not have a football IQ of four and a half in that first Overtime.

Dude, if they run the ball 50 times and throw it rarely, they win. If the Ags start operating under the illusion that they have a balanced offense because McGee lit up Monroe through the air, they're screwed. I wouldn't sweat the Miami O / Ag D matchup too much. They're equally mediocre.

Okay well, Miami is like a Notre Dame wanna-be, or going that direction for sure by now. Hell they couldn't even score on FIU of the Sun Belt when the Pigs at least put 46 on the Belt's defending Chumps, Troy. A&M has a bunch of self hype as usual trying not to pop that huge bubble slash ego on their head. So in the end I think, I just don't care who wins this game. All I know is, it's bigger for the ACC than the B12.

A&M threw for 297 yards last week when they actually decided to air it out. Then again, this comes from the bozo who claims to "tell it like is."

Let me break down OSU for us all briefly.

Pre-season: Touted by many people (and -- no surprise -- by Mike himself) to be the dark horse in the Big 12 South.

1st week: Lost the opener by three touchdowns to Georgia.

Last week: Lost by 18 to Troy -- after falling behind by 31.

Let's also put this in some perspective for the rest of us: Seven of Mike Gundy's 12 victories as coach of the Cowboys are against I-AA or Sun Belt teams. (Oh, yeah, Troy is in the Sun Belt conference, as well.)

It's just that Mike continues to come on here and just rip on A&M with one-sentence jabs that contain no actual data or reasons for his assertion (other than him just being a douche) and I'm not going to stand by and let it happen.

A&M can choose to run the ball 100 times and gain 1,000 yards against Miami in a 59-0 rout and Mike will still come on and be like: "JamesOn Curry would throw better than an aggrot."

At Texas we'd get a mall, talk him into playing fullback, and hope he stays eligible long enough to recruit another mall.

Maybe Texas State has the right idea with an outlet mall.

Here's the deal - I'm in Dubai, so I had to watch this on Tape Delay and therefore had to avoid any dicussion during the game. Yesterday I told the biggest Aggie homer that Fran needed to come out non-conservative and pass the ball to start the game. I said that if he came out running the ball, then Miami would be ready for it and all the momentum would be theirs.

In the end, terrible game plan... Miami also had a reputation of a strong running attack and is it any shocker that Miami started passing immediately and then ran away with the game?

Fuckin ridiculous... they're down 14-0 and there's no morale on the sidelines at all - giving up two more scores in the final 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter on special teams mistakes? Unacceptable and it comes from the top... how can they run zone defense the whole game and no one picks up the middle of the field? I said that conservative ball control bullshit would sink them in this game where you want to go on the road, silence the crowd, and get the defense on its heels. Then again, they couldn't pass worth a shit anyways.

So, even tho I thuoght atm would win, most of us (not wearing maroon glasses) were correct about a couple things:
- atm is completely 1 deminsional
- Miami has a pretty decent run D
- atm lives and dies by lane

I'm not sure you can blame the players for this loss. Seems to me the game plan was completely flawed and that falls squarely on the staff.

If aggie beats texas this year the entire staff of texas should be fired on the spot. If the team is relatively healthy and healthy at QB there should be no reason a team that can't throw 10 yards down field should beat them.

This is all on the coaching staff. Miami played with emotion and played hard. In typical Fran fashion, the aggies come out expecting to bullshit their way to a victory.

Main Issues:
1. Lane wasn't given the ball till the second half when we were down by 24
2. The defense has no clue when it comes to making adjustments
- 1st drive of the game said it all with a 17 play drive where Miami converts 3rd and 6+ multiple times b/c aggie dbs are playing 10 yards off the line
- I also love the fact that the defense celebrates making tackles when down by a large margin or when the play results in a first down for the other team. Lack of any type of discipline.
3. The passing game is unbelievably predictable. Quick one read slant pattern that disregards whether the intended receiver is actually open.
- Play action plays take so long to develop b/c they all involve fake option that no one bites on. Once Mcgee is ready to throw the entire D is all over him.
4. O-lineman receiving on special teams and actually trying to run the ball back. AKA FUMBLE EVERYTIME
5. The defense still can't tackle worth a shit
6. Martellus Bennett still never gets used in any capacity outside of blocking

This is the same thing that has been going on for Fran's entire tenure, time for Byrne to make a change. On the plus side, at least it keeps our streak of getting embarrassed on primetime ESPN games going (VaTech, Utah, Clemson, etc)

The Oklahoma Daily Effort (otherwise known as the Dallas Morning News) completely lambasted the aggies with two seperate articles talking about how their program, fans, and players are all "wannabes"

ROFL
What a joke. Even if they drop every game for the rest of the season and only beat Texas, aggiefan will still live for the towel.

Now for some non-drunken CBF commentary:

Miami has very good team speed on defense. Every time McGee or Goodsen aimed for the outside, Miami was there to meet them at the line of scrimmage. So why rely on speed to beat a team with a speedy defense?
This leads me to two points.
1) Dennis Franchione has been completely exposed as comparable to Greg Davis in terms of calling a game. He has the most unstoppable, bloatedest, fattest, widest, strongest running back in the history of our great State of Texas, yet he decides to use Lane in motion, moving him to the slot, and giving him ONE TOUCH IN THE FIRST HALF? He decides to use the aggie run game in a speed scheme, relying on McGee and Goodsen, apparently not realizing what excellent team speed Miami has...
What a complete moron. Aggiefan should be calling for his resignation right now. It's absurd to do something like that on a huge road game nonetheless....absurd.

2) How the fuck did OU score at will on this Miami D? Not saying they are great overall, or great period, but the team speed was apparent from the first defense series where A&M three and outed (along with a McGee fumble for the first play of the game, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL) It's a testament to how good OU's line is this year I think. Miami's offense was average at best, and I think the crowd was giving their running back that extra push. But Miami's speed was dominated by OU. Yikes. I did not watch all of that Miami-OU game, so can't say much else, but damn, OU is good this year. Will make for a very interesting Shootout.

But seriously, why stray away from giving it to Fat Daddy Lane? What the fuck has that prick ass scrub Goodsen ever proved in his life except scoring a bad ass touchdown on the worst UT defense of all time? I'd be so pissed if I were aggiefan. However, 'twas an excellent present to watch those towel waving maroon assholes get punked by a punk ass school. Those G's in florida are faaaaast, in the long run maybe confronting such a fast defense will help A&M along in conference play.
Maybe.

what an embarassment...Fran should be fired on the spot. i've just about had it with this coaching staff.

...but we'll still beat t.u. cause we'll run the ball every play and its at Kyle Field.

You act as if playing at Kyle Field makes a difference, UT has not lost at Kyle Field this century and has an overall winning record there. Plus it will only be 80% full

You guys should be thinking about Baylor this weekend, and not worry about Texas.

A&M is gonna have to hope that colt is 60% and have his worst game of the year like last year for a&m to have a chance to win. You act like a&m scored 35 points, they didn't, they scored 12. One long run and the long drive is all a&m did all day.
