I love that place.

The sauce is definitely different, but tasty. What do you think is in it?

They do mail order for their ribs. I was gonna send my dad some, but they do it 2nd day air and it cost almost as much as the ribs...so I passed.

All of the recipes these resteraunts work on, I guess, are based on this like multi award winning recipe for ribs, brisket, whatever.

The barbq sauces they have also are the shit.

The hottest of the BBQ sauces is called "Devil's Spit"

You can order online now!

But seriously, Coopers is the $$$. Llano is my hometown, so I have reason to go there from time to time. I've been eating bbq from Coopers for as long as I can remember.

Have you ever tried Smokey Mo's out on Bulverde & Evans?

Lucille's is the best, the guys at my work ate there so much we practically paid their rent. They don't deliver but they would deliver for us because we ordered so much.

As for Famous Dave's, we ordered it in for catering a couple weeks ago and it was good. Not out-of-this-world fabulous, but it was good.

I have had the misfortune to go to 2 Famous Dave's. I see that TPark is in BBQ heaven, but personally I thought they suck.

Any BBQ joint that doesn't serve fried okra gets an automatic mark against them. But at the very least their meat should actually taste like it was somewhat smoked.

Of the 2 I have been to only one remains (Hermitage, TN outside of Nashville). But I've come to learn that those Tennessee folk will eat anything as long as you give them a fork.

Ahh Famous Daves, we used to eat there when we lived in Richmond,VA. Back there where you couldn't find any bbq I thought that place was heaven. I think most of you will find it decent nothing to write home about but it's not bad, and way better than Dickies. One more thing they serve pretty good drinks too!

I understand that Bill Miller's is not top BBQ compared to other places, but please someone tell me why they are deserving of being called "bad."

I go to them whenever I get the chance. Yes, they may not be the type BBQ that requires a full roll of paper towels and a shower after the meal, but I haven't tried one item on the menu that makes me wish I had eaten something different.

I can tell you why..........BBQ should be cooked on a BBQ grill .....not in a warehouse.

Seriously.....Bill Millers is OK.....the brisket is good, the chicken (fried/smoked in a warehouse is good).....the sausage tastes like PURE ASS!!! Its not even all the way done most of the time......its rubbery and is full of gristle.

So....to sum it up.

Bill Millers is OK cheap ass want to be BBQ.

City Market in Luling and Harmons in Cibolo are my absolute favorites...............real BBQ cooked on a BBQ pit. You can actually see the meat being cooked.

Amen.

People are always knocking BM, but I've never not had a good meal there. Granted, it's NOT true BBQ in the sense that's it's smoked for 15 hours over mesquite in a smoker out back, but it's still good.

And rack the BM's that serve breakfast :elephant
