Chris
09-23-2007, 07:12 PM
Madden has a hard on for Romo. :lol

I disagree with this no kick to Hester thing. Kick it to the man. Let you special teams make a play. Doing otherwise shows a lack of confidence in your team.

Penalties can really kill a team. Tipped balls by your WR's doesn't help much either.

How is that not running into the kicker? Defender didn't touch the ball but got lots of Mat McBriar.

man they call a questionable call on witten and then give the bears a break on the running into the kicker call. not sure about this.

Did the door just get opened up for SuperHomeCooking in the NFL? That is absurd that the home team clock operator can run 3 seconds off the clock without any recourse.

It wasn't the clock guy's fault. The referee signaled to keep the clock running before he waved his arms to stop the clock.
Of course, by that time the clock read all zeros...

Well, then it's the refs fault (who you previously relieved of blame). I would think the ref should know which down it is... you don't continue to run the clock after a failed 4th down play.
But better yet... it is everyone involved with that play's fault. Head Umpire, Clock Man, Replay Official

That was before I went back and looked at it.
Plus, I didn't know they can't go back and check the clock upstairs.
Would it make you feel better to know that Ron Winter is a professor at a college less than two hours away from Chicago?

I agree but in all seriousness we did not have the corners we have now, more specifically we did not have Henry. Henry was brought in specifically to line up against big receivers. We will see if he can match up with the Best. Also Ken Hamlin will be critical, and from what I have seen he is doing a good job of staying over the top. I think the hard part against new england will be preventing Brady from getting it to all the other guys. Pressure will be key.

I completely agree... I would probably add Witten into that mix as game changers against the Pats. If he can get started early he forces the entire defense to adjust.

Wow, Dallas would have put up close to 50 if Crayton catches that TD and the refs weren't so flag happy. Credit Jason Garrett for great play calling. He saw that the running game wasn't going so well, but the Bears couldn't cover TO on the crossing routes, so that's all he called. That opened up the other guys and the running game.
Also: Whitten can't be covered by a LB, and the TO in the backfield formation worked to perfection. With the adjustments he made after halftime, this game really showed that Garrett is a great play caller.

It's a good day at work today. My sales manager who is in the office across from me is from Chicago and is a Bears fan. :)

That must be fun as hell.
I'm just waiting for Midge to come in so I can make fun of his Texans-loving, Cowboy-hating ass.

That's funny.
I still hate the Cowboys and I always will. But they did play really well. The offense is 1000x better than I thought they would be. Good win against a good defense.
I still hate the fucks though.

The Ref's Sucked Last Night
I Saw At Least 7 Blown Calls Against The Cowboys
I've never seen a non-FIBA basketball game with that many bad calls, and that game was slightly above average on the NFL shittycallometer.
And it's amazing that, instead of whining, complaining, losing focus and blaming someone else, they got it together, focused on what they needed to do and overcame it. There are basketball teams in Arizona that could learn a lesson from that.

Stern should send the team a copy with a post-it saying "this is how a REAL team handles adversity."
