i thought casey was toast! any other thoughts?

If they had gone with two instead of three, Casey definitely would have been toast. But like my friend Mark said, a Dale-Hung finale would have been a stretch. So maybe they did it on purpose as a safety net of sorts.

If there was any justice it would have been Hung, Casey, Tre and Lia in the final four and they could have duked it out.

Weird to see that Rocco will be a judge in the finale. He is really milking the 15 that Top Chef has given him -- a week of judging, the blog and now Aspen.

Yeah, him and that chick from Social Los Angeles from last season. Chef Bernhard or something like that? She is kind of a mean bitch but oh well. Better than that guy with the Thai restaurant and mohawk who was a complete jackass.

I wanted a Casey and C.J. finale, unfortunately C.J. was eliminated making that impossible.

I like all four remaining contestants. I will be happy for whomever wins.

i kinda despised CJ after a while, i didn't like his performances at chef's table. he threw tre under the bus twice, then with no team competition he finally had to face the music.

I cant stand hung

They're always showing Hung bragging about how good he is at cooking this item or that item, then the judges rip him apart in the judging.

I laugh.

Dale's the most likable of all the contestants, but I don't think he has what it takes to beat Hung or Casey. Also, I don't think Hung's confidence is unjustified, considering the judges have told him outright that he's the most proficient chef of them all.

That said, my money's on Casey. The judges usually love her dishes, she's a likable contestant, and she wins the Quickfire competitions often.

judges also told hung he was arrogant.
i thought Tre was going to win it all from day 1. BS he was kicked off.
i want casey to win... she's kinda cute.

Another reason to root for Casey is that she is from Texas.

I believe she is from Dallas, but even still. :lol

Yeah, he's definitely arrogant, but at least he has a reason to be arrogant.

I'm in the same camp as you regarding Tre. I thought he was one of the strongest chefs on the show, if not the strongest, but he got kicked off a lot sooner than I expected.

Yea i had Tre winning it all, he had great personality, wasnt to cocky, and he made good dishes consistently. I really thought he would go further on in the competition. I wonder if he will win that fan voting contest thing.

I did not realize that in all the previous seasons, a girl has never won.

Casey is a girl and a Texan- Represent! :cheer

Nice touch using big name chefs as their souz chefs.

Since they are doing it in Dale's hometown... does that mean he won? I wonder.

As much as I would love to see Dale upet Hung, overall Hung is the better chef and put out the most consistent food throughout the competition, and therefore is prolly more deserving of the title.

Casey is toast, too bad cus I was rooting for her.

I was pulling for Casey....but she bombed tonight.

Hung may be in reality the best Chef there....but I can't stand the guy. And I don't care for his food as well. He's just not bold enough IMO.

Hopefully Dale beats him.

Boooooo Hung. I wanted teh upset. Casey did bomb, how unfortunate. I also didn't like how she played the blame game a bit but I think she will go far now with the recognition this gives her.

Thank you! I got really upset at her pointing the finger at Howie the way she did.

had casey ever thrown roe/caviar on anything before? she was really disappointing. i think they wanted to give it to dale, but i guess that lobster dish was really bad.

I really liked all three competitors this finale. I was rooting a bit more for Casey only because a woman has never been crowned Top Chef but in the end I'm happy Hung won. I like how he was doing this for his family and how he wanted to show that with hard work you can go far. :tu

I'm glad Hung won. although he was arrogant at times, he really showed his passion for cooking and he was clearly the best chef.

I liked Hung a lot. I thought his confidence was refreshing.

I was rooting for Dale most, but Hung was a great choice. He's technically the most skilled chef in the competition, and his food became more and more passion-filled (awkword) as the show went on.

I swore off top chef after tonights finale. Dont get me wrong Hung is a very talented chef, but he is a total and complete prick. I would never want to be in a kitchen with that man. Figures he and Marcel are good friends. Adios Top Chef...

i think he was a lot more tolerable than marcel, although hung did whip out the foam in that final episode. :dramaquee

Hung wasn't the most likeable of the three finalists, but he wasn't the devil or anything. Based on the food, I was perfectly okay with his win last night.

I still wish Tre had been in the final three, however. From the beginning of the season, he stood out as my favorite chef AND seemed to be a genuinely decent guy.

does this mean one of the iron chefs is leaving? i found that batali is leaving, but he also says he will still appear occasionally. that kinda sucks, since he was the most original one outside of morimoto on the show.

i don't mind hung winning...he was the best one left....i think trey would have done well had he not left earlier.

I dunno... two of Dales dishes got just HUGE praise - one of which was the improved 4th course. One bombed.

Hung's improv couse was good, but seemed disjointed from the rest of the menu. If you want to do dessert, do an asian-themed dessert.

I think I would have taken Dale by a hair... but it seemed like a pretty even match.

Funniest/saddest part of the show - when the judges compliment Casey on her fourth course, and she said she asked Howie to do it while she concentrated on everything else. Ouch.

I was so glad Hung won...even if he's arrogant, he spoke the truth - the only other chef on his level was Tre, and they fucked Tre over big time.

The last thing Bravo wanted was a Tre-Hung showdown. Everybody loves an underdog, so they sacrificed Tre since he was less controversial than Hung, and then they started seriously pumping up Dale.

CJ was by far the biggest asshole on that show, he was such a fake piece of shit. He talked his "team player" bullshit and even went so far as to chastise Howie over it, but in the end he was just a backstabbing prick.

I know this is resurrecting something old, but it's been bothering me - so what if she is? He shouldn't have won because he married a fat girl? WTF is up with that?

If I were to marry a Top Chef, chances are I would not be skinny either.
But I would have a man who cooks so who cares! :lol

Wow, how did I miss that comment? I am with you ... why did that have ANY relevance at all to the fact that he won?

If anything, that proves he isn't as shallow as we might think. Either that, or she is his beard :lol Didn't he make an insinuation to liking both sides of the fence at one point?
