Woody Austin just stuck a shot 1 foot from the hole.
Looks like Austin and Mickelson will square that match.

Cink just also sank a 30 footer to put them 1 up.

Hopefully this will be an international competition we can win. The FIBA Tournament of the Americas was the first in a while.Uhh...........since the start of this tourney in 1994, the Americans have won 5 out of 6.

yeah the last one was in 05.
its been 2 years, thats a long time for the US :lol
Steve Stricker just nailed a 15 footer to win the match
Stricker/ Mahan 3&2
vs
Ogilvy/Scott
First points on the board go to the americans. Only 1 time in President's cup history has the team that put the first point on the board NOT won.

They roll up on the international field in this one everytime they play.
It's the Ryder Cup where we've been those pasty euro's bitches the past 10 years.

Hey Lefty you goin tommarow?
7-5 USA.
The USA in the morning matches needs to win 3 of the 5 to win the CUP IMO.
If they can win 6 of the 10, then they have the Cup.

So far so good this morning Mickelson and Austin have already beat Goosen and Appleby 5 & 4
Woods and Furyk defeated Adam Scott and Ernie Els 4 & 3
Stricker and Mahan just defeated Immelman and Sabbatini 2up
Toms and Zach Johnson lead Ogilvy and O'Hearn 1 up with 3 to play
the shocker right now is Lucas Glover and Scott Verplank are 2 up with 3 to play
so hopefully things stay the same and its 12-5 going into the afternoon 4 balls.
T Park
09-29-2007, 10:29 AM
Glover and Verplank just halved the hole with Weir and Singh so they are dormie going to 17.
Tomsy and Johnson can hopefully hold on and win and the americans can sweep the session, and its only happened 3 times before a team has swept a session the last time was in 03 and the internationals swept 6-0
T Park
09-29-2007, 10:34 AM
Verplank and Glover just won 2 & 1 over Singh and Weir and thats a HUGE win.
now 4 and 0 on the morning. If Toms and Johnson can pull it off, they are in FANTASTIC position to really take a stranglehold on the matches.

The afternoon matches have been unreal.
The Americans were down in alot of matches and have come from behind in two to salvage halves, and in one they were down 2 with 5 to play, and WON by 1!!!
Right now Mahan and stricker are 1 down, on the 18th hole with a putt to halve the match.
