Malone's pending Decision is becoming a distraction, especially since Malone plays it for all it's worth. Pop should set him free.

hes doing this shit to save his body and also to give him until the last possible minute to decide which team has the best shot before he jumps on the bandwagon

id be surprised if he goes to miami. he went to the lakers because they would be stacked with him and gary joining kobe and shaq last year. hes only going to go where it looks like a sure thing. him in san antonio looks like a sure thing

going to miami would be better for him from a drama perspective because it would keep alive his feud or whatever with kobe since he would be rejoining shaq and they can trash kobe daily in stereo. also it would be somewhat more of a challenge winning a championship with miami so he wouldnt look like that bad of a title chasing whore. and there would be the angle that he wanted to take care of unfinished business in the finals with shaq since he was hurt the last time.

It looks to me like Malone is only a distraction in this forum...It doesn't seem to be bothering the Spurs any...

From the Express-News ...
He also was believed to have missed several phone calls made the past two days by Popovich, who remains interested in signing him to a contract but might be running out of patience.

"might be running out of patience."?

That's about as valid as our speculation.

Pop has been waiting for a year and a half for this guy. I would imagine any deadline would be closer to the time a player would have to be on a team to make the playoff roster.
