nice to see people jump on the bandwagon with the Colts. Seriously Indy is probably in the 2rd smallest market in the NFL and they are up there in fans. Who are these people that jump from team to team? Honeslty, how could you look yourself in the mirror after jumping on and off of bandwagons. This is why I hate Red Sox fans.

It's hardly surprising that the most popular two teams are the Cowboys and whoever won the Super Bowl last year, especially when the Cowboys start off strong. If the Cowboys were 0-4 they'd drop to fifth or sixth.

I could have sworn you disowned the Browns on here 2 or 3 weeks ago.
And teams with the most popular players in the league usually draw fans.

Obviously you don't understand what we were talking about.

I was referring to our previous Vince Young vs. Matt Leinart debate, and how Vince Young has been nothing but a winner so far, while Matt Leinart has been nothing but a loser, and now is benched.

Yeah, because the Colts are always popular. :lol

Did you look at the article? The Cowboys and the Packers have been in the top four each of the last ten years, with the Cowboys out of the top two only one time. This during a period where they haven't won a playoff game. Yeah, bigtime bandwagon fans the Cowboys and Packers have. I guess it's just a coincidence that the other teams in the top six are the Colts, Steelers, Bears and Patriots.

Dude, I never said anything about preferring Leinart.

You're the definition of bandwagon fan.

I never said you said you preferred Leinart, although you sure as hell defended him more than you would Young. However, you are a Jay Cutler fan, which is even worse. He has been a loser his entire career. His insertion into the starting lineup cost the Broncos a chance at the playoffs last season too. At least Leinart and Young have won stuff, and right now, Young is far more successful and is winning far more in the NFL than Cutler is.

I never knew that a fan of a team cannot have preferences for other teams to win other than their own. For instance, I prefer for the Patriots, Broncos, and Seahawks not to win. I personally have never liked those teams, and would virtually never root for them in any game. I have always liked the Cowboys and Titans more than other teams. You can't tell me that there aren't other teams that you like more than others. If you do, you're full of shit.

Enough with the bandwagon bullshit. Every team has a bandwagon, so technically, unless you were around on day 1 of the team's formation, you're a bandwagoner.

If you pick your team and stick with them through everything, that's good enough.

stretch
10-04-2007, 10:14 AM
And if I was a bandwagonner, why the fuck would I still be a Raiders fan? Especially considering how terrible they have been the past few years, and after all the ridiculously stupid moves, topping it all off with trading Randy Moss to the PATRIOTS of all teams for a fuckin 4th rounder. That really pissed me off.

Actually that is not true. Obviously if your team was born in 1960 and you were born in 1970, you couldn't be there on day one. A bandwagoner is someone who jumps from team to team just because a particular team is winning. A true fan, IMO, is what you said also, someone who picks a team and sticks with that team regardless of winning or losing. It doesn't matter when you pick that team, its a matter of staying with that team.
