Has anyone been to the one in San Antonio? Is it worth it for the price? My family and I will be coming into town from San Angelo this weekend and my wife wants to go.

Yes, it is very good and worth it, especially the dessert fondue. You just gotta get dessert. The food is good though. It is a different experience in that you kinda become the cook. They bring all the meat out that you ordered along with veggies and other stuff and you boil it all in the pot that they give you. They teach you how to do everything and use the utensils, so no worries about that. Me and my fiance went back in April for our anniversary dinner and have no regrets about it. We will be going back for sure.

I don't know how the one in SA, but I've been to the one here in Philly and it's really cool (and expensive). They give you a variety of sauces to dip your food in and it's a really cool experience to try at least once...very different than other restaurants and it's kinda romantic actually! :tu

Yeah it's very good and of course expensive, but make reservations because you need them. At least thats what the lady told me up front, especially on a weekend

I met the owner of the one in San Antonio. He is a retired VP from Discount Tire. He bought a franchise as an investment. It seems to be working out for him...

I went there once and hated it. Cooking your own food one bite at a time just lost its fun and novelty after a while (4-5 minutes) because it was far too time consuming. I am impatient and I really just wanted to get down to eating.

I agree that the dessert fondue was very good, but everything else just seemed a waste of time. I can get meat and vegetables anywhere. And they come pre-cook there.

It's at least....a unique experience?... to go there once, I just wouldn't go back for seconds. An experience I'll avoid in the future. I swear I have ADD.
