Whichever team's offense is shooting a higher %age will win, as usual, and defensive quality will be a distant 2nd issue.

I think the Suns are more balanced, deeper, and generally scrappier than the Sonics, whose only outstanding strength is shooting 3's

A close game, the Suns by under 5 or fewer pts.

I too think it's going to be a closer one and a Suns' victory.

Suns kill them unless Fortson goes to the line 10+ times.

Looking forward to the Nash - Ridnour match-up. I'll take Seattle.

No way Suns win this one. Home teams, on average, win 67% of NBA games. That's the highest home edge in any of the four (well three with the NHL work stoppage) major sports. That, coupled with the fact that Seattle can score in the half court against good defense, and Phoenix is run and gun, leads me to predict a Seattle win.

the team with the most points at the end the game, is probably going to be the winner

Suns will win, the score will be up in the 130's

This sucks because I think someone will be off shooting and get blown out, when it should be one of those 140-135 back in the day type games with these two teams.

I bet on Sonics + 1 at home...it looked too good to be true. Why is Phoenix favored at Seattle???

Wow. Right down to the button. Phoenix should thank AD. On consecutive possessions: got himself cornered after picking up his dribble, and had to throw up an UGLY shot that almost did one of those wedge between the rim and backboard things, and left his feet to throw a cross court pass, which of course was picked off. Remind me again why we got rid of this guy? :lmao

to have him nail straight on 3 pointers and punk us for 17 points

while Brent Barry sits useless on the bench.

I think it was 'cause Daniels only plays well when his team is up 10. :lol

No one ever said he couldn't shoot on occasion. He's just not clutch, and can't run a team. He's a passable NBA combo guard, who is WAY too lamented here by some.

How close was it?

http://www.nba.com/games/20041217/PHOSEA/boxscore.html

both teams shot 49%

both teams shot 72.7% FTs.

both teams hit 8 3's (but Sonics were 10 %pts below their 3 avg)

both teams had 22 AST

both teams had 5 players score double-digits.

TOs and RB essentially even.

wow!

The Spurs have a long way to go. Dec 28 will be a milestone on that trip.
