Pats ain't got shit on us right now.

Chargers and Boys beat us the last time we played each but our D is different from last year and in 05 we had seeding secured. Doesn't change a W to a L but I think the Colts are playing better now than they have in past seasons, including last year. They have depth, don't panic, and haven't been turning it over very much. And Peyton Manning is our QB. That guy's pretty good...

I'm sure most convicted pedophiles will be jealous of the way we rape the Pats secondary in Week 9 but that's still a few weeks ahead.

FWIW I think the Pats will win this game, but I'll root for the Boys anyway since I hate the Pats infinitely more than I hate the Boys.

I remember the Colts defense sucking copious amounts of cock and giving up record yards per game against the run and lost to the Cowboys.

The Colts were winning close games when they were 9-0 last year. The Pats have been winning in blowouts, but against crap teams or teams playing like crap. The Boys can beat them but not if Romo throws that many picks or if TO keeps dropping passes in the clutch. Cuz you can bet Randy Moss won't drop those same passes if the Pats are in that position.

But, if both teams DO bring their A-games, New England wins this without a doubt.

I'm gonna say Patriots 34-Cowboys 27

It's also very possible that the Patriots blow out the Cowboys, but there's no way in hell the Cowboys blow out the Patriots.

Dude, I'm not even taking a shot at Brady, don't get so defensive. My point is, is that all QBs will have a bad game from time to time. Brady had a 4 pick game the year he won the first SB. But he had no rings at that times, so that doesn't mean he deserved a free pass. The fact is, all QB's, whether young or old, will have a bad game from time to time. Its all about how they respond to the bad game, that matters.

If Romo wasn't 5 starts into his second year as a starter he might not get questioned so much.

It took Brady winning a second ring before everyone was convinced he was a franchise QB. Romo's played well but he hasn't proven shit. And a 5 INT game (that easily could have been an 8 INT game) against Buffalo deserves scrutiny.

I never said there is a problem with people questioning him. I simply said all QB's have bad games from time to time, and to say that just one bad game means they suck is utterly ridiculous. And he also deserves props, because despite his horrible game, he still found a way to make plays, and lead an 80 yard TD drive at the end, as well as another quick drive with 18 seconds left to put his team in FG range. It takes incredible balls to do that. Not many QBs in league history could have had the balls to overcome a bad game the way Romo did. The only QBs today that could have MAYBE done what Romo did last night is Tom Brady and Vince Young.

I'd rather have dinner with Bin Laden and Kim Jong Il than even be seen eating in the same room as Vinatieri.

And if the Colts lose you have to sport a Brady avatar.

It must be nice to be in the NFC.

How did that Charger/Packers game go? Must be nice to play in the shitty division the Chargers do. I wish I could root for a team that could be a half game behind the lead for the division through 5 weeks with 2 wins

As far as Pats-Cowboys, I think the Cowboys have a decent shot at winning this game. I don't think New England is way better, and if the Patriots don't bring their A-game, the Cowboys will win.

But, if both teams DO bring their A-games, New England wins this without a doubt.

I'm gonna say Patriots 34-Cowboys 27

It's also very possible that the Patriots blow out the Cowboys, but there's no way in hell the Cowboys blow out the Patriots.

The only way the Pats will blow Dallas out is on X-Box 360. Dont expect a blowout from either team. :downspin: :downspin: This game is going to go to be decided late in the 4th. Owens will have a great game as should Romo while Brady and Moss should be on fire as well. Pats secondary isnt horrible but it isnt as great as it was during their 3 titles in 4 years. I expect both teams to score points and a good amount of them as well.

Right now I have to say Indy is the best team in the league at the moment. They have 5 starters out and have played much tougher teams than the Cowboys/Pats have. They also play in MUCH TOUGHER division. Jags,Titans,Texans :dramaquee

I don't know who will win the game on Sunday, but it's hilarious to see some of these "analysts" bringing up the record of the Cowboys opponents as some sort of proof that they are overrated when in fact the Pats opponents have just as horrible a record. The Pats have been more consistent in terms of margin of victory throughout the season against bad to mediocre teams than the Cowboys have against bad to mediocre teams, but the Cowboys' defense has been much better in the last 3 games than the Pats defense. Take out the week 1 defensive disaster while they were getting accustomed to the new scheme and this defense is the best in the NFL. They threw a shutout a week ago and only gave up 3 points in a game in which their offense had 6 turnovers! I hope NE comes in believing the hype and overconfident because they'll get shut down if they underestimate this Cowboys defense.

did they now?

The Cowboys played three of the worst offensive teams in the league.

The Patriots played Cincy (high powered offense), Buffalo (total crap), and Cleveland (dropped 50 in a game already), not to mention San Diego, and the most they've allowed in one game this season is 17.

So against Buffalo they allowed one TD on defense and Cowboys allowed one FG. That proves it, the Cowboys have been MUCH better. Too bad the Patriots also didn't have a special teams breakdown or a complete meltdown on offense.

And don't be so quick to discount the Giants game. Plaxico Burress torched the shit out of them. The Cowboys haven't faced a large athletic receiver like Plaxico since that game. The closest things to Plaxico they've faced are Chris Chambers & Bernard Berrian who went 9 catches, 109 yards and 6 catches, 73 yards respectively. Not too shabby for either. And they're nowhere near as talented as Plaxico. This week they're about to go up against Plaxico times 10000000000000.

We all know what Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck can do.

It took a couple of super bowls before people started to realize how good Bill belicheck is.

The Patriots were good on offense and defense without that much talent. Now they have Randy Moss, Adelius Thomas, Stallworth, Welker, and one of the best qbs ever to play in the NFL.

people dont see Romo as an elite qb and thats one of the reason why they think the cowboys are overrated

I don't think it means much for either team other than it's another regular season game. It means a bit more for the Cowboys since it's a home game, and you definitely don't want to lose home games, but they are 5-0 and in prime position to win the division with or without a win.

The fact remains that the Pats have played just as weak of competition as the Cowboys but are getting a pass on it for whatever reason. It won't matter come Sunday, but I do wish the only decent media sources we have for the NFL would be a little better with their analysis. Here's the story about this game - if either team makes mistakes the other team will beat the shit out of them. That's the way it works when two teams of this caliber play each other, you can't get away with mistakes.

jacque reeves played reasonably well against the Giants. Roy Williams was the problem. Unless Roy is up to finally covering someone, I don't know how they contain Moss.

And Newman doesn't appear to be running at 100%. Last season he would have taken that INT back for 6 without any trouble. Lee Evans is fast but not Newman fast. and unless Newman is at 100% speed, I don't see him being able to hang with Moss.

They'll roll the safety Watkins over on Moss to take away his height advantage, and to be honest it's not really Moss I'm concerned with. It comes down to 2 things - hitting the shit out of Brady and keeping guys like Welker, Watson, and Stallworth from going off. Most of that goes with getting hits on Brady and making him uncomfortable throughout the game. I know this sounds bad, but I wouldn't be above having a defensive lineman or LB take a very hard shot on Brady early to get in his head, even if it has to be late. If anything it'll muck up the game and make everyone pissed off, and I think that kind of game takes NE out of their comfort zone and favors the Cowboys. Agreed 100%. His line is absolutely outstanding, and even if a rush comes, they at least get him enough time to get the ball off. He almost never gets hammered, but one team that knows how to get in his head is Miami. The last three years, they have gotten a victory against the Pats, and a huge reason is because they got a lot of pressure on Brady, knocked him around, and rattled him quite a bit. Watson scares me in this game. His speed will really hurt the Boys lb's and safety's. He and Morris/Faulk coming out of the backfield are honestly my biggest concerns going into the game. I really think Watson is going to tear the Boys secondary up.

Missing Henry is going to hurt badly. I hope Glenn is good to go when he gets back, because that kind of vertical ability combined with that dude's great hands will help open up the running game by not allowing people to go 8 in the box and still play relatively close on the line.

The edge obviously goes to NE. They are a very methodical team even away from home. A positive Dallas has going for them is that Wade had success playing against NE last year, pressuring Brady into 3 INTs, 1 fumble and 2 sacks. Never has the line "being able to control the line of scrimage on both sides of the ball" been more true in this matchup for the Cowboys. Dallas needs steller offensive line play against the various blitzing schemes NE throws at people. That, and Dallas NEEDS to to get to Brady. Even if you don't sack him, put his ass on the ground, get a hand on him, make him uncomfortable. Ware needs to be on his A game for a chance of that to happen.

Offensively Dallas needs to get the ball to Owens early and often. when that happens, Owens seems to not drop many balls later in the game. Plus it'll make NE respect Owens which will open things up even more for Witten and Crayton.
Defensively I worry about Roy Williams in coverage and not having Anthony Henry really hurts. Brady is extreamly accurate and Moss has always played well against the Cowboys, thus reiterating the need to get to Brady with our blitzes.

I think NE will open up the game going 4 wide however, spread Dallas out, and try to pick Dallas apart. NE has an offensive line to consistanty do that. Coincidently I think Dallas should do the same. I look for points to be scored in this game. We'll see what happens.
