1. Suns = scary, scary good, at top s/p several impressive comeback wins. Hard to see this Sun completely setting lower than 4 seed unless Nash goes down with serious injury.

2. Sonics = don't look back, 6 point win keeps you ahead of probably best team in league. Seem to be coming back to reality and could fall fast.

3. Spurs = is he coming or not (?) = who cares, great team anyway and deep down Pop probably glad that they have a few losses early.

4. Kings = bad effort in loss to Lakers but otherwise have been impressive lately.

5. Wolves = ditto to loss to Mourning's new digs but they have been on the road alot. Still probably most serious threat in West to Spurs at the end with Wally world and the resurgent Griffin playing huge - but will this last?

6. Heat = Shaq and his sidekick ready to kick some serious "*& in one week. My prediction is despite a valiant effort by the compicated genius that is Kobe - going to be a tail whipping on Lakers. Not going to be surprised to see Shaq with 36+.

7. _allas = up and down team that if they played real D would be scary good.

8. Pistons = don't look now but winning ugly again.

9. Jamestown by the Lake. Pistons and Spurs showed King J some reality TV recently and it ain't been pretty.

10 -11. Washington = beat Lakers on road, solid team not to be discounted in East anymore, but are they better than the ?? Lakers (probably not) = Big road win against Kings has to count for something and Kobe is scary good this week = 10 assists + 30 several times and Odom is a heck of an athlete if they get him going - still????

On the bubble - Cleveland. Clippers, Knicks (ugh), Memphis, Magic, and trying to hang in there the Pacers (pasties for now). Nuggets without Carmello going S for sure again.
