The Seahawks are a shit team. They had their time and couldn't get it done. Now it's time for the new blood in the NFC to keep improving and challenge the top AFC brass.

Yeah, that Kyle Eckel is a beast to stop.

And it was 4th down with over a minute left.

on their 2 and up 14 and could've taken a field goal also

It's not new news that the Pats are classless. They spent years cheating. That's why I hate the comparison to the Spurs, the Spurs are light years ahead of the Pats and do it all with humility.

so with a minute to go fresh downs

you can take a knee run it out

or run up the score with a rookie RB

yeah wich did they do?

thank you.

The Cowboys called timeout with 1:48 to go. If they didn't want the Pats to score they could have let the clock run out.

Oh yea, I can definitely see Belicheat say "Okay, guys. I don't want you to try to play in the first half. That's some overrated shit. I really don't care about trying to win. We'll just have to wait until the second half to try and win this. I don't intend on making any type of statement against an undefeated team. I hate how people always call me a genius. So, do me a favor? Have me look like a complete idiot in the first half and then turn it on."

I guess all coaches in the NFL don't really coach until the second half.

That's stupid. Why wouldn't you want to play the best team, particularly one that waxed you in the regular season? The Patriots lead the league in manufacturing disrespect and using it for motivation. Why shouldn't the Cowboys do the same thing?

I don't know what everybody else would say, but if you rooted for someone to upset the Suns in the playoffs to make it "easier for the Spurs" you'd never hear the end of it from me.

I feel great about the loss. The Cowboys started off terribly, made a ton of dumb mistakes, kicked a field goal instead of going for a touchdown and called a timeout that led to the last touchdown, allowing the loss to sting enough that the players will listen to the coaches. They've got three months to learn from this game; the first test is next week, and it's called "not having a letdown after a big game".

Why? What did you see in the game that makes you think they can't improve? Their secondary got beat up. They have one corner out and another on a bad wheel. They had a ton of penalties, two or three at critical times. They started off really slow.

Do you actually know anything about football? If you want to make Cowboys fans feel bad about this loss you might try to actually bring something with some substance to the discussion.

I agree with that, as Wade seems kind of weak to me. Parcells really killed the penalty bug that plagued the Cowboys before he arrived, and it resulted in close losses turning into close wins. I've been waiting for that shoe to drop since Phillips took over, and it seemed to be okay until today. Maybe it was an aberration, maybe it's a sign of things to come. It's certainly not unfixable, though.

It certainly doesn't look like Parcells' conservative style fit the personnel they currently have, and with some polish they could be a factor. Time will tell if the team will continue to listen to Wade. I have my doubts.

He's a likeable guy. I think you guys have a shot as long as Phillips can keep the team together, and keep that psyco T.O happy. He had the right idea by throwing pressure at Brady. Roy Williams is killing you guys right now on defense with all those passes through the middle of the field. I like Terrance Newman. I can in actuality see you guys coming out of the NFC. If you guys can sure up your defense some you have a shot. To be honest I think you guys probably would have a better chance against NE than the Colts. The Colts are alot quicker on defense than NE is. The only team that you don;t wanna see is the Ravens in the SB. Then all of you guys hopes and dreams will be vanished in an instant. :smokin

I agree with most of that. If TO can't be a good teammate for an extended period of time it'll all come apart.

If the Cowboys' offense can figure out a way to have some time of possession in the first quarter, it'll help the defense to be fresher in the fourth quarter.

Most of those passes through the middle of the field that you referred to happened when Roy Williams was at the line of scrimmage pressuring the quarterback. He got beat for one long pass, but his coverage was very good. He did miss a rotation for one of the touchdowns, but I don't remember him missing a tackle which made his hits more effective. Considering the relative inexperience of Reeves, and the health of Newman, I was really impressed with the secondary. They could have been better, but not much, in my opinion. They were the part I was worried about.

The Ravens don't run three wide receivers. That's really the only flaw in the Cowboys' defense right now. The Colts or the Pats are going to be the big challenge. They aren't going to go 15-1 so they'll have other things exposed as the year goes on. It's all a matter of staying healthy and improving. I feel good about them.

For how bad the game started, the Boys made a nice go of it I thought. Henry being out hurt tremendously. The Boys will get better once they add the rest of their pieces, and should win the NFC.
Really though, when the fuck is this coaching staff going to start Barber? Its so apparent that he is the better runner, and he needs to get the ball more than he does.
Boys got beat by a better team, doesnt mean they arent a good team themselves.

I have no shame losing to the best team in the NFL. We did shoot ourselves in the foot all throught the game and the refs made some really bad calls that just killed our momentum. But even if all of that hadn't of happend, NE probably would of still won. They are just a machine right now. But the NFC is still ours

Its funny how you non-patriot fans and texan fans and whatever fans come in and talk shit about the Cowboys when you know we'd hand your ass to you, the way NE handed us ours.

Okay I was at the game, I have no voice today from screaming for 3 hours, and here's my thoughts.

1. With credit to SpursDynasty, the Patriots just beat a team they're supposed to beat. No suprises here.

2. In typical Dallas fashion, everyone decided that a Sunday spent at Bed, Bath, & Beyond was more important that being at Texas Stadium. It was around 40% Patriots fans. I almost felt like I was at Gillette Stadium. One native New Englander there commented "This is the hottest Boston has been in a long time".....actually he said "This is tha haahtest Baahston has been in a long time".

3. Cowboys will have the pleasure of getting the shit kicked out of them again in the Super Bowl. Nobody in the NFC comes close to the Cowboys. And there's only 1 team in the AFC with a remote shot at beating New England. JT is talking a big game on the board, but he, like every Indy fan with a brain, is shitting his pants over what is coming to them in week 9.

4. As far as the final TD goes, say whatever the fuck you want, because the Patriots don't give one goddamn motherfucking shit what you have to say.

This team has had their titles questioned, been called cheaters, and had everybody try to tell them they were never that great. OF COURSE THEY'RE GOING TO LASH OUT AT THE LEAGUE FOR IT. YOU WOULD DO THE SAME FUCKING THING. This is the Patriots fully extending two middle fingers to the rest of the league for trying to throw them under the bus over something that EVERY OTHER TEAM DOES.

Wade Philips got caught calling the titles tainted and tried to deny his way out of it. Terrell Owens had the nerve to call Adalius Thomas on Sunday morning and tell him how bad the Pats were gonna get their asses kicked.

It's a simple idea - treat others how you want to be treated. You want to see classless? YOU STARTED IT COWBOYS. YOU DISRESPECTED THE PATRIOTS AND THEY RETURNED THE FAVOR. bottom line. The Cowboys brought that shit on themselves with all their talk (that they couldn't even remotely back up). So sit down, shut up, and DON'T FUCK WITH THE PATRIOTS and maybe next time they won't be so ruthless with your shitty little team.

5. Most Cowboys fans are awesome - there was a lot of fun banter back and forth between Pats and Boys fans. I've never had more fun at a sporting event. The Cowboys fans were really great. They were pissed after the game, but even then the majority of them realized they just got beat by a much better team.

The one bad experience with a Cowboys fan I had was more comical than anything. He kept yelling at us about the Patriots being "classless pieces of shit" and gave us the finger when we informed him that Wade Philips brought this upon himself. I said something like "see you in February" and he turned around and told me to "go home you fuckin' Northerner!" which was hilarious since I've lived in Texas all my life.

lol @ mono thinking it was a 50-50 split when 90% of the crowd was wearing cowboys apparel, or cheering for the cowboys.

dunno if you know this, but TV has this incredible technology to pump up crowd noise when it wants to and fade it down when it wants to as well. Actually being at the game and all, there was a lot of Patriots noise in there. A whole hell of a lot.

I was surprised at how loud it was when the Patriots scored. But why would anyone be surprised that there were a lot of patriots fans? The most popular teams are the Cowboys and whoever wins the most. In addition to all the regular Pats fans in the metroplex scooping up tickets as soon as the schedule came out, there are probably quite a few bandwagon fans that did the same. It's not an unknown phenomenon; the Cowboys sold out all the tickets by the second game of the preseason. I don't remember the last time that happened.

Bullshit. If the Cowboys had let the clock run down I guarantee the Pats would have knelt down and run out the clock. What they did was not classless, it was a response to the Cowboys not being smart enough to recognize that the game was over. Period. I hate Bill Belichick, and IMO the Pats are likely the dirtiest team in the league. Though they are constantly on the lookout for a chip they can put on their shoulder, they absolutely would have answered class with class.

Why is this an argument?

There is no way possible to determine the exact number of who's fans were there. Just because Mono says it was 50-50, doesn't make it so just like if I say it was 90-10 doesn't make it so.

Its all opinion not fact. Besides, does it really matter?

:wtf
the boys offense didn't have much trouble moving the ball after the first quarter, i doubt even mono would contradict that. the defense was the train wreck... should bronco fan be trying to talk shit here?
