I hate it when they always ask me " How did you watch so much porn" Then I tell them " Hey I got eyes, I can see"

one time i was at a gun store in cedar park texas and some cop was talking to the guy at the counter for like 10 minutes, just bullshitting, so i interrupted their conversation, you should have seen the look on the guys face, it was like a -you must not be a neocon- look, then he looked at the cop like - arent you gonna question and ID this guy?
then he said ill be with you in a minute- so i left

Long story short
I told them that they should order tea, meal or whatever in the restaurant.
But I took an order after few minutes. Cause: one the waiter could not understand the guy (horriable english- accent). So he gave me phone so I could talk to the waiter. I was talking with waiter the guy with his perfect english was talking and the lady as well. So I did not knew what was going on and what they wanted. So I told them to write it down and I will give it to the waiter.
The lady got pissed as hell. He was calm. She claimed she is also working in some kind of the same depratment (or whatever you can call 'helping' guests).
She took my name.
haha I wanted to ask her if she needs my phone number also :)
The menager was not available then. But at the end - today she had an ocasion. But I was not at work that time. Ufotunately.
Tommorow will tell :D

They only do that when they are booked up.
Put yourself in the place of the people checking in. It pisses me off when you can not get into your room at 4pm because the room is not ready. They need time to clean the rooms before you get into your room....right?

On some occasions I understand what you are saying. Im talking about on off peak days. Such as during the week and there is not even on e car in the parking lot. Fifteen extra minutes will not kill you. There have been times when I have to returned to the room an hour later because I forgot something and the room is still untouched. And this happens frequently since I do travel alot and I am very forgetful.

As someone who works in travel, yes, people in hotels can be snotty and arrogant. But in this case, it didn't sound like you did anything wrong.

Your job as a receptionist/helpdesk at a hotel should not include taking a food order.
She's just being a bitch. Have housekeeping short sheet her bed next time she stays there.

Whe you are checking out the room is no longer avaialble for you and is in "cleaning mode".
So when/if the housekeeping will find something you lost the front desk will know.
And in our hotel all the rooms should be clean till 2pm.
But when you are in the room you can stay in the room while the maids doing their stuff (as far as I know).

Ha! Then you have time to have her bed short sheeted!
Or the hot water to her shower turned off.
