Credit question

I bought a car yesterday and of course they ran my credit report (equifax) and to my shock there was nothing on it. I've bought cars before, a house and had credit cards, delinquent bills etc. but nothing showed up :wtf So basically I'm starting over but I want to know why all my credit has seemingly been deleted. Should I be concerned and try to do something about it or just leave it? (My credit wasn't good).
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Well first things first, you should be checking your credit regularly, at least once a year.

AnnualCreditReport.com gives you free access to all three of your credit reports yearly.

I'd check the other two and go from there...
