AT&T picks defending NBA champion Spurs to grace directory cover

AT&T Advertising & Publishing, a unit of AT&T Inc., has unveiled the new covers for the company's latest telephone directories.
The company has picked the four-time NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs to grace the cover of the local AT&T Real Yellow Pages edition.
The new cover will be unveiled Saturday at the Spurs preseason game against the Detroit Pistons at the AT&T Center. It features a photo of Tim Duncan and Tony Parker celebrating last season's championship win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
For the residential AT&T Real White Pages, the company picked "Celebrity Community," a painting by Janet Campbell that salutes the United Way. The illustration of the painting features the San Antonio River Walk.
In addition, the company has announced that households can drop off their old phone books at participating H-E-B stores once they receive their new books.
Residents can drop off the outdated phone books in specially marked yellow containers in H-E-B parking lots through Nov. 16. Other partners in the recycling effort include Abitibi-Consolidated Recycling, the city of San Antonio and Keep San Antonio Beautiful -- a nonprofit conservation group.
