NEW YORK, October 18, 2007 – NBA TV, entering its ninth season of NBA coverage, will provide unique perspectives on the upcoming season, when it debuts four specials beginning Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. ET with NBA Fit. The specials include:

NBA Fit: Tuesday, Oct. 23, 8 p.m. ETNBA TV takes a behind-the-scenes look at the unique off season workout regimens of four NBA players as they strive to deliver their ultimate performances this season. From weight rooms to yoga studios to practice courts, the network’s cameras look at the conventional and unconventional training methods of:
• Luol Deng of the Chicago Bulls and his “dinosaur training” regime that features massive tire flips and rice bucket grips;
• Gilbert Arenas of the Washington Wizards and his pledge to shoot 100,000 shots within 73 days as he recovers from a postseason knee injury;
• Jordan Farmar of the Los Angeles Lakers and his centuries-old approach to a 21st century game, by trekking to Tahiti to attend a yoga retreat;
• Glen “Big Baby” Davis of the Boston Celtics and his commitment to be recognized as a hard body rather than a big body on the NBA courts this season.

NBA Stories - Rookie Life: Wednesday, Oct. 24, 8 p.m. ETNBA TV’s cameras reveal the never-before-told stories of being an NBA rookie. From the arduous 82-game schedule to the constant tongue lashings, it is these rights of passage that all players must endure. Featuring rarely-seen footage of NBA greats like Scottie Pippen, Shaquille O’Neal, Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant, the players recall their experiences, especially the traditional hazing rituals:
• Shaquille O’Neal of the Miami Heat wearing mouse ears as he sings the theme song to the “Mickey Mouse Club” during his days with the Orlando Magic;
• Patrick O’Bryant of the Golden State Warriors opening his car door to find it filled to the top with popcorn thanks to his teammates;
• Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers recalling how then teammate and current New Orleans Hornets head coach Byron Scott took him under his wing.

NBA TV 2007-08 Season Preview Show: Thursday, Oct. 25, 8 p.m. ET
NBA TV’s Rick Kamla hosts this two-hour preview of the upcoming season. Former NBA player and coach Fred Carter, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News and Peter Vecsey of the New York Post provide a thorough analysis of each of team. The show also contains special features on: • Yi Jianlian, the Chinese basketball sensation and first round draft pick of the Milwaukee Bucks;
• Boston Celtics and their new look featuring recently-acquired NBA stars Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett;
• San Antonio Spurs, the sports world’s current ruling dynasty.

NBA Stories – Tales of Training Camp: Friday, Oct. 26, 8 p.m. ET
Training camps forge championships. From an isolated camp in the heartland of the Old South to an arena in the ancient city of Rome, NBA TV visits training camps around the world as teams lay the foundation for the upcoming season. The special features insights from such NBA head coaches:
• Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs working out with Finals MVP Tony Parker on the exercise balls;• Byron Scott of the New Orleans Hornets making the final cuts to the roster;
• Mike D’Antonio of the Phoenix Suns describing the “Fox Hole Mentality” which is needed to survive the arduous season.
