MIAMI -- The starting lineup for tonight's preseason game against the Heat is out. It looks vaguely familiar.

F -- Duncan
C -- Oberto.

This marks the first time this preseason the Spurs have sported the same starting lineup they used throughout the playoffs last year. Of course, there are still 12 minutes until tipoff. These things are always subject to change until the ball goes up.

Damn, Manu is locked in this preseason. This is as well as he's ever played in the preseason. He's usually a slow starter.

I guess we'll see if it'll transfer into the regular season. That said, can't imagine Manu has much room to improve. He's already All-Star quality and at times can play like a top five player in the NBA. An improved Manu would be a scary prospect for the rest of the league . . .

in GM 1 and 2, he was fantastic

and GM 3 and 4, he was great defensively but missed A LOT of easy layups that he usually makes 9/10 times

The thing I like about the scrubs this year is they play to win. Last year the Spurs put the scrubs in and they'd lose these types of preseason games. Washington and Langford keep the intensity throughout.

Not that it really matters because it's preseason but it's good to see that the Spurs brought some fighters to camp.

The extended minutes by Langford and Washington could very well be a signal that the end is near.

Manu's just in a rhythm right now and had a couple of good games now. I can't see him playing this well all the time. One thing that I did notice the other night when he dunked is that he looked like the old explosive Manu again. By the way I found the clip of the dunk.
